why wont you just search for what i am looking for? why do i always, and i mean always, get a million bullshit answer to who knows what instead of what i ask, and to top it all off, looking at page after page i never even find what i am looking for, it is like you go around the real answer on purpose trying to annoy me again. it is very simple and i dont understand why you wont just search for what i am looking for? if i type i want to look for apples why are you showing me oranges? cherries? dog shit? and nowhere is there an apple to be found on my search results. that is just a fake example, but honestly, if i really did do that search i am sure the results would be real close to that any ways. so what is going on? apples not sending you money but oranges and cherries and dog shit are?

Firefox just updated a few days ago to version 149.0. Prior to, no issues. Now every time I enter a search term and hit enter. A new tab opens and the page is blank. It only happened after the update. Closing the tab and doing the same thing again opens a new page correctly.

How do l get rid of yahoo which has taken over my laptop after trying to get flight tracking last week? I have always hated it and it is stopping me searching with Firefox. I am old & not too tech savvy.

None of the topics seemed to match my issue so I selected "Browse".

In FF 153.0.1 on W11 64-bit, after Firefox updated to the latest version my Alt+D does not work. Ctrl+L still works. In Incongnito, Alt+D DOES work. However, in regular browsing it does not work, even after I have disabled all of my extensions. I don't know why it's not working or what I could do from my end to try to get it working.

I recently purchase s new Dell desktop computer with Windows 11, my preferred search browser is Fire Fox i have used it for years and like it. Recently when i make a search with Fox Fire the answer for the search is with another search engine, example: Yahoo, Google, Edge or other. I don't recall this with the old windows 10 why is the happening and can I change this ?.

perhaps if you just had a few empty boxes so someone could write in the name of the search engine and firefox would know the complex URL's connected to the name of the search engine.............

I tried to use Firefox as my search engine but that didn't work so I re-downloaded DuckDuck, but the address bar say "search with google". I use to have DuckDuck but deleted it because I got tired of sites wanting to know my location. How do I get rid of that. I've tried all options in the settings file. I would prefer

Recent builds have changed the way that the user can direct queries to the various search engines that can be added (i.e. eBay, Wikipedia, IMDB etc) - to a new configuration that is awkward and forces more clicks.

Here is the method that currently allows reverting to the previous approach :

in about:config

Set string "browser.search.widget.new: to false

... and to delay automatic deletion of engines set "browser.search.widget.removeAfterDaysUnused" to thousands

Posting this for increased visibility for folks encountering the issue and in the hopes that Mozilla will consider not degrading a well-performing interaction pattern

I need to fix my issue with search, not sure if it is because of VPN or smth. I use Browsec as VPN, just recognized Firefox has its own VPN. Did anyone had same issue? I saw there was an update on July 1, 2026, Until yesterday everything worked fine.

I was able to enter an ip address that is on my local network into the search bar until a recent firefox update. Now when I type in the ip address, it goes to google with my address in the search bar. Is there a way that I can still access my server over a firefox?
