I am trying to add an mp4 video to my website using the following code:

where ### is the name of the video file. I get the following error message:

"No video with supported format or MIME type found."

In the console the following is displayed:

"Media resource http://127.0.0.1:5502/images/###.mp4 could not be decoded. video.html All candidate resources failed to load. Media load paused. video.html Media resource http://127.0.0.1:5502/images/###.mp4 could not be decoded, error: Error Code: NS_ERROR_DOM_MEDIA_METADATA_ERR (0x806e0006)"

Runs just fine in Chrome and I have no pop-up blockers installed. Autoplay is set to be allowed for all websites.

Windows 11 version 23H2. Firefox version: 126.0 (64-bit)

I'm hoping someone can help with a conundrum.

A few years ago, whenever I first started Firefox--whether I had just started up my computer or had exited Firefox and opened it back up--it would take several minutes for Firefox to load any website (Google, Amazon, weather.com--anything). Once the first site loaded, it would load subsequent sites normally. Interestingly, it was only my default profile that was affected; if I used another profile or created a new one, websites would load within seconds of my starting Firefox.

I finally broke down and created a new default profile, imported my history/bookmarks/etc., reinstalled extensions, adjusted settings, etc. The new profile behaved nicely, loading the first website within a few seconds of Firefox starting. But over time, the load time has gradually increased to the point where it is now behaving just like the old profile: I load Firefox, I try to go to any website, and it takes several minutes for it to load.

Any ideas what's happening/what's the problem? Hoping someone out there has some wisdom and can help troubleshoot. Thanks!

Using TB 115.11.0 (32-bit) on a Windows 10 machine, with IMAP synchronization. Quite often (but not always) the synchronization of the inbox takes an extremely long time, Activity Manager showing "bringing folder inbox up to date" hanging in "downloading message 1 of ...".

I have made a Gecko IMAP:5 log and see (during this state) a pattern repeating every 2 minutes, ending in "idle mode async waiting". Then, after a long time suddenly the synchronization process finishes.

What can be wrong here?

I'm on Thunderbird 115.11.1 on Windows 11. I got an error that there wasn't space to download emails today. My Thunderbird profile shows this:

In the startupCache folder File Explorer says that there are 2500 directories, 660 files, and 4.94 TB of content. The last few lines of a dir command show this. Note the weird dates on the directories and garbage names.

What is the best way to clean this up?

When I try to switch profiles, I get the following error: An unexpected error has prevented your changes from being saved. I have been messing around with this on and off for a couple of months. I uninstalled Thunderbird and re-installed with no luck. This error is not allowing me to switch to a profile that I have had for over 20 years and I have lost all my Local Folders, quite disturbing. I found a similar thread here, but no solution. Thanks, Paul

If I open a second tab on the screen it says the connection has crashed and keeps doing it if you try again. If you reset it resets Firefox including the other tab.

This pops up every few hours. Sometimes it pops up invisible but steals focus from the main window. How can this be disabled?

I tried all methods that have been mentioned everywhere on the Internet, including policy.json, Group Policy on Windows, etc. Nothing disables this nagging yet.

I sent a message a while back about slowness with 115, which I had to download because I had a crash.

There were various suggestions, but no solutions to the excessive slowness with 115. This culminated to day in a long 'no reply' mail which suggested the issue might be the virus checker.....

I checked again the various messages about 115 - most were archived, only one month since they were posted!!

Is there an issue with 115?? I saw a thread which asked was I having issues with it, my answer is yes, is there nobody out there with a suggestion??

I contact you because, even without an adblocker, Youtube is very slow with Firefox navigator. I don't understand why and I don't have this problem with Google Chrome ? Hi I am having problems with Thunderbird, i’m not sure if it’s to do with a windows 11 update or something else. Thunderbird is not responding also at the start of the ‘not responding’ emails from one of my accounts disappeared and then gradually started to reappear but didn’t get up to date and now just not responding st all. I have tried various things to resolve this, uninstalling and reinstalling Thunderbird, doing this and opening my pc in safe mode, doing this and opening Thunderbird in safe mode. Deleting and reinstalling the latest windows 11 update, reinstalling the latest Thunderbird update. I don’t know what to try next? I read somewhere to delete your profile, after saving it, and getting a new profile but no idea how to do this. Any help appreciated.

I have been using Thunderbird for probably greater than 15 years (back when I was in college). The last couple of years I have noticed an issue of when deleting multiple emails that has gotten progressively worse, where the entire application will hang in "Not Responding". For a test, I just deleted a batch of emails from the last month (newsletters, notifications, etc), it was 113 messages, and froze the application for more than six minutes. This was on my hotmail account but the same happens for my other accounts as well (all configured as IMAP). The issue has persisted through uninstall/reinstalls and even across a replacement computer. No extensions are installed.

Any thoughts?

I have the latest release of Firefox on windows 11.

When I try to access accesspeople.accessacloud.com, the site I use to see my work's rota, the website doesn't work and shows this message;

" 503 Service Unavailable No server is available to handle this request. "

This website works fine with Chrome, Opera, Edge, etc.

I have tried disabling all extensions, turing off tracking, as well as clearing the cookies and cache for the site and still no luck.

Please let me know if you know of any solutions.
