Is there a way to increase the size of the scroll bar on the right side of the browser?

I don't know why any browser never seems to allow for this. I hate using the mouse wheel to scroll down webpages and always use the scroll bar on the right side. Problem is most of the time it's way to skinny/narrow to be practically used and the bar you use to scroll it up and down - especially on long pages - is so tiny as to be completely unusable. It may not be an issue for tweens who still have eyes like hawks but for older people, like me, it's a pain in the tuchus. I'd like to be able to increase both the size - width mostly - of the slide rail and increase the overall size of the slide bar you use to control it.

Thanks!

The scrollbars come from your system settings.

In every platform I get this minimalist hard to control scroll interface that on top of this fails to sync properly with the mouse wheel cleanly. [edited] people try using it yourself before [edited] it to market!

Hi Bruce,

I'd want to remind you that obscene language is forbidden here. For reference, see Mozilla Support rules and guidelines.

As a moderator, I'm going to mark jbr's reply as a solution to highlight it for other users.

For more context since there was a comment on "every platform I get" there are similar questions for macOS e.g. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/254313468 that highlight the fact it's not configurable in current macOS versions AFAICT, however I agree that turning their visibility to permanent in system settings makes the hit zone a little better.

(I cannot comment on Linux windowing environments, I'd recommend looking in your platform forums for any advice, as these are system components so follow the GUI preferences.)
