just installed thunderbird on my new windows11 laptop and tried to add my comcast email account. i entered the email address and password and it sent me to a comcast web page to validate my email on imap.comcast.com. i am not on my home network so they sent a code to my phone which i entered successfully. it then asked for the address on my (comcast) account. i entered it and it told me it '''didn't recognize the address.''' I called comcast and finally got a human to talk with. we verified that my comcast account was set to allow third party access to my email. that's all the help she could give. i've run thunderbird on my windows 10 desktop with my comcast email for years with no problem. Has anyone encountered this problem?
