Firefox Auro updated and deleted all of my bookmarks. There is no option to recover bookmarks and syncing from another device isn't working.

All of my bookmarks have been disappeared with a new automatic update (9/22) and now I'm left with no bookmarks at all. My other devices were not synced because my work computer needed different links saved. Any easy options for recovery? The bookmark management tool shows no options to import bookmarks and clicking any of the restore or import options does literally nothing. This is a huge issue for work flow and is putting me out of schedule. Why would an update remove ALL bookmarks? Seems like a serious over look in function.

I'm pretty furious about this at the moment. I've never had a browser update and delete YEARS of bookmarks, specifically those I use for work and school every day. I've tried the "solutions" from the link above, and the two profiles I found do not contain ANY bookmarks. I have no idea where to go to find an old profile as the article says. This is insane.
