Saving password on riseup.net email account

Hello, I am unable to save my riseup.net email password. When I go into my email and enter email and password and save, it says it is saved but its not. I've contacted support at riseup and it says its a provider/server (not sure if that is what I call Firefox) issue. Can you help/advise? Thank you Regards Kaye Handley
