Loading and Exiting Problems -- could the "vcruntime140_1.dll" note that appeared when installing?
New Windows 11 HP Laptop here. When installing Firefox, the lack of a "vcruntime140_1.dll" was noted.
I ran Firefox anyway. All seemed well for a bit. However, when exiting out of Firefox, it didn't exit either by hitting the "X" or using the menu and selecting "Exit". I recognized this, because Task Manager showed it still, as a running process. Could the vcruntime140_1.dll issue be a problem? If yes, what is the fix?
I did try "Refreshing" Firefox, to NO avail.
NOTE: Windows 11 Home updates were installed before installing any programs, including Firefox. I had a Windows 11 HP Laptop a couple months ago and Firefox ran just fine on it. But the Laptop developed a screen issue and was replaced by the Laptop in question.

Thanks for the link. I tried it, but to no joy. This seems to be a MS problem, not a Firefox one.
After far too many hours and a 1/2-dozen or more times restarting Win 11 to clear all programs, I have determined that the problem ensues after I uninstall 1 or both MS OneNote / MS OneDrive. Surprisingly, the problem didn't occur after uninstalling MS 365. My guess would be that 365 is paid and the other 2 aren't. MS seems to be doing everything it can to forcefully lock customers into using their ecosystem and renting their software. It is getting more difficult by the day to sign into Win11 sans a MS account with a personal account, as I had always done until now.
The moral of the story thus far, don't uninstall Win11 furnished OneNote &/or OneDrive Apps.!!
I plan on contacting MS to see if there is a fix for the "vcruntime140_1.dll" file being -- I assume -- deleted when one of their 2-programs is uninstalled. In the meantime, if anyone has a fix, for current builds of Win11, or how and where to obtain and properly install the missing .dll file in Win11, please let us know. Without it at least in my case, it locked-up and killed Firefox every time and may have initially trashed my new PC's installation of Win11 with a non-recoverable BSOD, so much so, that I had to get a Win11 recovery file from HP to reinstall Win11.

- From the section Visual Studio 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022 download the following executable file: vc_redist.x64.exe
- Install this file
- Restart the computer and run Firefox
TyDraniu, Presently, I'm not going to try the download, because my new Laptop and Firefox are playing nice. So, I can't mark the problem solved. However, if I decide to uninstall OneNote &/or OneDrive -- my guess is this is what prompted the problem -- or if the problem otherwise crops-up, I will attempt the suggested fix and if it works, I will advise so herein. Thanks for the reply/recommendation.
