Thunderbird password manager doesn't work

Hey people, My Thunderbird suddenly started to ask me for a Password for every single of my accounts every time I open the program. Checking the remember password box does not help. I already tried to delete the key3.db file and setting signon.remebersignons to "true". Another problem I have is that I can not set a master password and I get the error message "unable to change master password" when trying to do so.

my config is: Thunderbird 52.5.0 on Fedora 27
