I need to sync my windows 7 mozilla 47 with ubuntu 12 mozilla 16 (the system won't let me upgrade without making major changes), how to?

With ubuntu mozilla 16 I need a sync key that is not available to get from mozilla 47, but with the ubuntu I am using I cannot install the latest mozilla version. Is there any way to get through this?

hello, no you'll need a current version of firefox on ubuntu in order to sync it (older versions like firefox 16 used a separate old sync system, which servers are already shut down & which is no longer compatible with current sync).

Thank you for your answear, I had gone over the problem some other way, i.e. installed previous to my last one version of ubuntu which included firefox 37 or so, which had new sync system already. Thank you again, anyway.
