I've bought this Proscan tablet for a sister that doesn't know much of computers & doesn't has an internet conection where she lives. I'm in the process of teaching her how to use this artifact, but in the process I thought it would be a good idea if I could download some videos from the web to show her some of the things this's useful for.

Many of the tried videos needed the flash plugin so I already took care of that. BTW, I d/l the FF 27 version because I read somewhere it was the last version that support the plugin. So now what's needed is the apropriate extension version's addrs for the android platform (.apk file) to install it for me to be able to move on.

The few times I've used FF on the tablet it has shown to be a little untable (sudden closure or exiting) but, nonetheless, I've been so proud for many years now of my choice of FF against any other browser that I want to keep going in this direction until I either succeed or fail, but not before I give my best effort in making this a success adventure.

Thanks in adance to anybody sharing the require info or for a better solution!

Using an outdated version of Firefox is not good there are over a year of security updates that Firefox is missing.

Thanks for replying, kbrosnan!

My problem was that I needed both, a browser with flash plugin capabilities & the said extension (or another with the same features). So, going for the latest release (which was my first trial already) proved to be less than convenient.

Any more ideas for other alternatives? Thanks in advance for any useful replies!

It is the Extension that supports Firefox and not Firefox supporting a extension.

Also it sounds like you may be searching the the desktop Firefox section of addons.mozilla.org and not Android. You can change section at top where it says Other Applications.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/android/search/?q=download+helper&appver=&platform=#

Android Firefox 27.0 was the first version to run the old Flash 11.1 plugin on Android 4.4+ as Flash was disabled on Android 4.4 Kitkat so you do not need Fx 27.0 specifically.

Thanks James for replying with such an interesting tip!

That that you mention is very possible; I might have been looking in the wrong barrel.

At this very moment I don't have the tablet with me but, in the next few days, I'll have it and, from it, I'm going to do the search. For the latter, I'm keeping starred the email notice received from mozilla forum.

When I follow that link provided by you and do a little more research on the issue when using the tablet I'll reply to you.

Again, thanks for the info!
