Upgrading Firefox I have got a problem.

My OS system is XP Professional V 2002 SP3 on Hardware

IBM 8422 KGF Thinkcentre Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.20GHz, with 3.19Ghz 4GB RAM

Problem: When I Run Installation Package "Firefox Setup Stub 36.0.exe"

It Fails just before the end with:

The instruction at "0x77c42a16" referenced memory at "0x80040154". The memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program.

Result:

Firefox is installed but is Very Sloooooow to load(1.30Mins) and runs sluggish.

Can you suggest a fix..? Regards Dave

Even through having to refresh Firefox would mean having to move old data from one profile to another, it is first important to find out if it is because of the profile or the Firefox installer.

Please try to start Firefox with the profile manager to make sure it is not the profile:

Then try Safe Mode to make sure it is not an add on:
