You have to input your contacts somehow. They are not just going to appear. If you had an address book in some other application you need to export it and then import it into Thunderbird.
doesn't tbird store your email contacts? if not, would they be stored somewhere else? using tbird 31.2, can't make contact folders like before, can you backdate version?
