Have tried running without extenstions/add-ons, have not personalized with a theme (default theme in use), unistalled and re-installed Mozilla. Tried unchecking the Hardware Accelerator, also, to no avail.

Same webpages load fine in other browsers, so did not believe the graphics driver/card to be the issue.

Items missing from web-pages are always pictures or images (i.e. command buttons within email or buttons for navigating through picture files, etc.)

Make sure that you allow pages to choose their colors and that you haven't enabled High Contrast in the Accessibility settings.

  • Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Colors : [X] "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above"

Just checked all the plug-ins again - no change. Additional Info: at yahoo.com, the advertisement to the right shows picture/flash media, etc., but the pictures for the 'top news stories' scroller do not show, nor do the images for the buttons to <>, etc.

Double-checked all add-ons, plug-ins - does not solve problem

All plug-ins/add-ons double checked, disabled if not used, updated if used. All options checked - Yahoo and other sites (kohls, walmart, most shopping sites) load but pictures of items, news stories and buttons that contain images still do not show up in Firefox - but do in IE.

Went back through all suggestions in the above listed replies - had followed these links originally before posting question, but did go back through and made sure I had followed all of them. Only suggestion not followed was regarding the graphics card/driver, as nothing seems affected but pictures in Firefox

Still searching for answer!

Went through the about:config instructions and changed my permission to load from "3" to "1"

NOW, the big questions is, how the @#$! did that get changed? I've never seen that about:config page and certainly didn't change it!

Anyhow, Thanks to All Sooo Very Much for your help!

Love my Firefox and very grateful for the helpful community!
