I have tried using Bitdefender Free edition and downloaded it on 20 December 2018. It works fine EXCEPT that some https websites are inaccessible. An example is https://forums.malwarebytes.org/

I could open the website with Google Chrome. The lack of user options with Bitdefender Free edition prevents me from turning off control of root certificates.
