The ability to insert and resize images in-line with email text is a major function in my use of email. There have been at least two add-ons that smoothly and efficiently accomplished this task in previous versions of Thunderbird, the most recent being 'Shrunked Image Resizer'. Both those add-ons became unavailable due to updates to T-bird. Please Please allow compatibility with an add-on that does this. It is a make-or-break issue for me. Thank you.

When I try to send an email here is the message I get.

Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because connecting to Outgoing server (SMTP) mail.sasktel.net failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again. I checked my outgoing SMTP settings and they are all what they are supposed to be. Note** when I first installed Mozilla everything worked fine. Now I can not receive or send out emails.

I have already tried the profiles idea but to no avail. How do I get all of my folders that had all my emails sorted into them back and how do I get all my contacts in my address book back>?

The year is 2025, version TB 128.6.0esr (64-bit), and your solution is working!!! This is a real problem, IMHO! I looked at the TB at lunch, there was no letter, I look at the letter in the evening and he writes to me that it arrived at lunch. It looks like I’m blind :(

Hi, in order to avoid problems with the view of emails, I repaired the folder of my emails configured as imap. During this process, all emails were reloaded from my provider. so far so good. But the dates of the emails now have all the time& date of today. Changing the sort order from date to received didn't change anything. By using CTRL-U I could see the correct dates: extract:

Downloading email

I used to be able to download with no problems. I did not change any settings, but now I can’t download any emails from either of my accounts. I have email with shaw.ca … (čitajće wjace)

I used to be able to download with no problems. I did not change any settings, but now I can’t download any emails from either of my accounts.

I have email with shaw.ca and telusplanet.net (now operating under gmail). Neither one will download

When I try to connect it gets hung up on: Host contacted, sending login information . . .

After a while it used to come back with a comment about login to server failed

I have tried under 3 difference wifi/ethernet networks I’ve tried under wifi as well as direct Ethernet connection I use Windows 10 and it is up to date Thunderbird is up to date I use the POP method I’ve tried using a smaller password I have changed from SSL/TLS to STARTTLS and back I’ve tried using different ports (995 and 110) I use AVG and have tried it with AVG options turned off I have AVG configured to allow in and out for Thunderbird I use Normal password as the authentication method

What else can I do?

Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: Relaying not allowed. Please use SMTP Authentication. For assistance please see https://netvision.cellcom.co.il/SMTP_Authentication or call 013 Netvision Tech Support +972-4-8560570 24hrs day: talmashkaot2013@gmail.com. Please check the message recipient "talmashkaot2013@gmail.com" and try again.

Netvision tech. support refuse to investigate the matter and suggest that I use their website e-mail (which works). I prefer using Thunderbird.

What is the solution to this the problem? Most e-mails still work...

I hope you can help me with my little problem.

Thunderbird was damaged during the migration to the new Mac, so I installed a new version of Thunderbird on the new Mac and now want to get the emails from my old Mac into the new Thunderbird. I think I know where the files for the new Thunderbird are: /Users//Library/Thunderbird/Profiles/xxxxxxx.default-release/imapMail/map.xxx.net, so is it as easy as replacing those files with the files in the equivalent folder on the old Mac?

Alternatively, I just discovered this function within Thunderbird itself: "Import Settings and Data from a Thunderbird Profile." Might this be useful, and if so, how would I go about it?

I have replaced Windows 10 on my laptop with Linux Mint 22 Cinnamon. I installed Thunderbird and, with a little diificulty with passwords, have my gmail accounts working. However I have a freenetname email address which appears to be installed. However when I seek to use it I am asked for a password. I enter the password that I use on my desktop for the same account but it is not recognised. I looked at the saved passwords (on my laptop) in Settings. None are displayed for the freenetname account and I can't see how to install passwords here to, perhaps, solve the problem. Some help would be very welcome. Thank you

As of Thunderbird 115+ (tested on 138.0), users are unable to manually sort or reorder the order of their email accounts in the left folder pane. Previously, the "Manually Sort Folders" add-on offered this functionality, but it is no longer compatible with current Thunderbird versions.

For users with multiple accounts (e.g. 5–10+), being able to define the account order is essential for workflow clarity and navigation. Alphabetical or custom ordering would be sufficient.

Please consider restoring native support for manual account reordering or offering a built-in account sort feature in future releases.
