Please please stop this side swipe delete in Collections. Every time I hold the phone at a slight angle the tiniest sideways movement deletes the saved URL. It's driving me nuts and it's not needed as there is a delete X there. Thanks

Existing Firefox Desktop user with Mozilla account (which lets me sync bookmarks across several Desktop devices.) New Firefox Android (version 143.0.2) user, logged in with Mozilla account, Desktop bookmarks are accessible now on the Android Firefox installation.

Problem: I'd like keep the folder in which my bookmarks (synced from Desktop --- the folder shows up on Android Firefox as Bookmarks > Desktop Bookmarks > Bookmarks Toolbar > (a set of folders I have on Desktop firefox containing my bookmarks) open after launching a web site from a bookmark stored there.

Observation: Currently after launching a web site from bookmark stored in the above folder, the navigation I made to reach my bookmark folder of choice is no longer open, so I need to repeat the navigation process from the start to get to my bookmark folder (that was synced from Firefox Desktop.)

Alternately: I'd like copy selected bookmarks from my (large) library of bookmarks (synced from Firefox Desktop) onto the home page of Android Firefox but do not see how to do this (I can edit the bookmark where it currently resides on the Android Firefox installation, but I don't see how to make a duplicate copy on the Android Firefox home page listing (and I don't want to delete the existing bookmark(s) on the Android Firefox installation.)

I would like to report an issue with bookmark management on Firefox for mobile.

On my phone, when I search for bookmarks using the bookmark search feature, I am unable to select multiple bookmarks at the same time (for example, by long-pressing or using multi-select). This makes it difficult to manage or delete several bookmarks at once.

This issue does not occur on Firefox Desktop, where multiple bookmark selection works as expected. The problem appears to be limited to the mobile version only.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open Firefox on a phone. 2. Go to Bookmarks. 3. Use the search bar to find bookmarks. 4. Try to select multiple bookmarks.

Expected behavior: Ability to select multiple bookmarks in search results on mobile.

Actual behavior: Only one bookmark can be selected at a time.

I'm a heavy bookmark user. I have numerous bookmark folders and numerous bookmarks within each folder. I love the way the desktop version (Firefox for Windows) allows for easy sort and save for bookmarks. I absolutely hate the way Firefox for Android handles bookmarks. There is no way to sort and no way to choose a default save folder.

Awhile back a change was made to Firefox for Android. Before the change, saving all new bookmarks automatically saved them in the root Bookmarks folder where they were easy to grab and reassign to a particular folder. After the change, bookmarks now get saved in the last folder used.

This causes problems with later finding bookmarks when they were saved in a folder that wasn't expected and is especially troublesome when you have numerous bookmark folders. For example, I had been saving bookmarks in the root Bookmarks folder. Every once in awhile I go through that folder and move bookmarks I want to keep into other folders. Whichever folder I last moved a bookmark to now becomes the default save folder. The next time I save a bookmark it goes to that last used folder. If I don't remember which folder it was, now I have to search. Or I have to remember and be fast enough to hit "Edit" on the small pop up window that shows up after saving a bookmark.

But it gets worse. I recently went through my bookmarks and moved several from the root bookmarks folder into other folders. I later saved a bookmark and had to go find it in one of the sub folders. After finding it, I moved it back to the root Bookmarks folder. Let's call it "Bookmark A". Fast forward several weeks where all subsequent bookmarks were saved in the root Bookmarks folder as I desired. I then went through all my bookmarks and deleted those I no longer needed. This time I didn't move any of them. BUT, the last bookmark I deleted was "Bookmark A". The next time I saved a bookmark, it did not get saved in the root Bookmarks folder as I expected. I had to go find it again in the same sub folder where "Bookmark A" was originally saved. Apparently, when I deleted "Bookmark A", Firefox for Android somehow remembered the next most recently used folder. I hate this so much!

Can we get a setting to define a certain folder as the default folder for future saved bookmarks?

I don't understand the reason for the change in the first place. But, if there are plenty of users who want bookmarks automatically saved in the last used folder, then give everyone a setting to either choose that method or a default saved bookmark location.

I'd also like to see a drag and drop method to sort bookmarks as well as settings to sort by name, date, etc.

I'm running the latest version of Firefox for Android on a Samsung S25.

Hello. Good morning. Bookmark management in the mobile version is very strange. As far as I can tell, managing bookmarks in folders and subfolders is almost impossible and unusable. Thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge with us for so many years. I wish you to continue to be useful and cool for humanity.

Hello. I would like to manage the signets or my bookmarks on my mobile version (Android) on my smartphone. it's impossible to save any signet on the bookmarks. Impossible to reach the modifying, changing location of a signet, in the bookmarks. Any suggestion ? I thank you for your answer.

If I try to add a bookmark to a folder, none of the folders I have created are listed. I am given the option to create a new folder to add it to; that works, but the new folder has exactly one bookmark in it and there does not seem to be a way to add any more.

I use Firefox on 3 devices, a Win10 64bit laptop, a Google Pixel5 and a Samsung TabA. I have a lot of bookmarks and a lot of folders, and I have 2 problems: Most of the folders are missing on the Android devices, and it seems that many if not all of the associated bookmarks are there but not in any folder. I clicked on one the bookmarks and it showed as being in the proper folder.

The other problem is that if I bookmark a page in one of the Android devices it is automatically placed in the last folder used and there's no way to place it in any other folder or create a new top level folder. I think I've had these problems for five or six months.

I've tried multiple resyncs on all the devices, and also uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox on the Pixel, with no luck. I'm using the latest versions of Firefox.

Any help would be much appreciated.

The carefully organized order of my Firefox bookmarks on my PC is completely ruined by the stupid alphabetical sorting of bookmarks on the Firefox app on my Androïd smartphone. And that is all the more frustrating than the icon pictures of the links are replaced by a mere letter which doesn't enable to recognise the website's icon visually. In my ASTROLOGY folder of my Firefox bookmarks which includes about 100 links, it is a real pain in the neck to find the links to my favorite websites whose precise names I don't necessarily remember (Astrology websites often have similar names) among in such an extensive list of bookmarks, instead of finding my favourit and most usual bookmarks at the very beginning of the list in the folder.

You make my bookmarks so hard to use that I have to use collections. If touch a link in my collections with even the tiniest of motions you immediately delete the link Sometimes it happens so fast I don't even know what link was deleted Very aggravating

I have a oroblem with folder navigation in bookmark dialog on my Android. The bookmarks save to the last folder I used weeks ago, and it will not allow me to change the location of the bookmark. It wont even show the other folders. I cleared out the app cache. I deleted and reinstalled the latest version of the app, then synced to my desktop. It still does not work. Please help!.

Fix saving bookmarks like it a) was earlier. You select wanted folder from the list.

b) alternatively, in settings where you can select folder where save bookmark always saves (instead of last used, in windows, Linux, android...). This would be the best option.
