Firefox closed the browser for an automatic update two days ago, and when it came up back after the update all my open windows and tabs simply disappeared. History tab was reset to a blank page, there was no trace of anything. I tried the access through 'Menu / History / Recently closed windows' or '.../ Recently closed tabs' and they were both blank, empty, zero, nada ... This is the first time it happens to me, and I'm surprised and disappointed that such a predictable and basic bug shows up on an update.

I have a couple dozen tabs I use for task f-ups, it' unproductive and annoying to get them all back up to work. If this happens again I doubt I keep using Firefox as my preferred browser.

1. Anybody else suffering the same issue?
2. Is there a cure for the problem?

My old macbook broke (logic board problem) and I am unable to recover any information off of it currently. I bought a new macbook and didn't know my password for firefox so reset it without knowing it would remove all my saved information. I still have the saved bookmarks, etc on my phone, but no other device (including new macbook). Is it possible to retrieve my data?

My windows broken and I install new one. I have signed to firefox with my account, but there is no my old bookmarks from old device - Daniel’s Firefox on Daniel-PC.

How can I get bookmarks from Daniel’s Firefox on Daniel-PC?

I've been able to instantly sync my profile for many years, over many computers, and many clean reboots, but this time, its suddenly all gone.

I'm logged in, and it is only syncing the stuff I am already seeing as of the past 6 hours, and not the past 15 years like it used to.

Did some CIA sob decide I no longer am worthy of my accounts?

A whole lot of people depend on me [other than the CIA] and I need to be able to get hold of them rapidly at all hours of the day and night.

I need all my back up data back.

My other drive is corrupted and can't be mounted, or I would still have everything.

Also, since it CAN'T be mounted, I can't access the profile for FF in there, either.

I'm just lucky I have a couple of spare brain cells left to rub together that I guessed my password or I'd be in even worse trouble!

Yesterday, I lost 15 YEARS of bookmarks from Firefox on my iMac (15.4.1) during a thunderstorm. Firefox updated simultaneously & when I restarted, even my toolbar is gone.

I'm searching for HELP on Mozilla's website and usually I can figure tech stuff out. But this time I'm stumped, it's so complex. Many pages of instructions but I can't decipher them.

The last bookmarks I saved manually on my HD are over 10 yrs old. I'll probably have to start from scratch; a huge job.

To make matters worse, I tried to use the 'inspector' to recover an old Mozilla password that showed up as dots (from 2018) and I couldn't. So I had to change my password, which practically guarantees that I can't retrieve the old bookmarks.

However I still saved the DOTTED password but can't translate it into letters which could allow me to use my old account to get the bookmarks. It's so complicated.

I have tried every support advice I can find and no matter what I do passwords are not restoring. Here is what I have done: Opened about:profiles Opened profile folder Exit firefox transfer key4.db and signons.jstor files from backup to the new folder

Nothing happens.

I have tried creating new folders and following those steps. I have tried everything.

All my bookmarks have disappeared. I try fit listed... go to settings/bookmarks/manage bookmarks/import/restore. There is no files there. How do I get my bookmarks back. I need them.

I just got a new pc, and added Firefox, and also imported all of my bookmarks. But I don't see any way to add tiles to the new tab page. There are no Tiles there, even after 3 days. I really like having the links I visit most listed in tiles on the new tab page. Why don't I have any and how can I add them? I don't see anything the settings, and the help answers don't help because there are no tiles to right click on.

I am using this ID for so long that i don't even remember for how long. today i reinstall the window and login to mozila account but i don't recover and sync my bookmarks or anything. i didn't faced any problem like that before. help me sync and recover my bookmarks and settings. its really important for me

After updating to version 138.0.1 for PC today I lost many bookmarks from my saved bookmarks, and also cannot restore the last saved bookmarks folder through the Firefox "Manage bookmarks" menu. HELP!

I cannot figure out how to add my favorite things to the toolbar. The toolbar doesn't even show up at the top of my page. I just get a string of random bookmark names under the address bar with the Other bookmarks folder at the end. I can't even get rid of "Finish Setup" which is the last one shown. How do I do find where the toolbar is hidden and get it to show? Once I do find it, how can I add my favorite items to the toolbar? I even had ask a question online to find out how to restore my most recent bookmark which was backed up in the documents folder on my computer. Any suggestions would be very helpful. I don't like the way Mozilla Firefox looks now. It isn't as easy to use. I have included what the top of page looks like now. I am sorry I didn't think to keep one of how it used to be.

I cannot find any tutorials online per '"how to find or recover cookies-passwords-or bookmarks when I deleted an older version of Firefox and installed a newer version of the Firefox app."' I don't know what version the previous 'deleted' firefox app was. I'm using the up-to-date version 138 as far as I can tell. Are all my cookies and bookmarks and passwords lost permanently?

I just updated Firefox to 138.0 and 130.1. I doesn´t see my bookmarks anywhere, all gone can´t even see the sidebar or menubar, is it a bug or what ? an anybody tells me what´s going on ? I use Windows 10 English version.
