Everytime Firefox wants me to add something as search engine. For example I open YouTube and in the address bar it says ADD YOUTUBE. I cannot share screenshot because it just says uploading and not uploading anything from all my devices.

Greetings, I've checked a few articles in Firefox to help with my question, but none of them are helping. (Here's the main article: http://example.com.) Here's the situation. Say I go to a website's Contact page and click the button to contact someone, a window appears and asks me what app I want to use to open the email. Gmail is my default email, and Firefox is my default browser, and I use Windows 10. When I open the window of options (see attached screenshot) to open the email, and I then click "Choose Other Application" (other than Firefox), I don't see the Gmail app anywhere. I then followed the directions in that link above to check my Windows settings, per its suggestion, which I did ... but in those settings, too, I got to a point where the directions no longer matched what I'm seeing on my screen. I didn't see the Gmail app anywhere. Could you let me know in simple layperson's terms how to open Gmail links in Firefox? I don't have a PhD in computer science, so please keep it very simple. I have an issue where AdBlocker Ultimate, Plus or Free and uBlock Origin and Ghostery are causing an undesired effect on YouTube's display of videos on it's Home page. I would like to know where to report issues regarding extensions and add-ons. If any of the above extensions are enabled then the Home page for YouTube is missing the video in either the #1 position or the #4 position in the top row. (See screenshot). I've used these extensions for years on the same system and have made no changes. Suddenly, for about a month the problem has been occurring. I have another identical system with the same extensions and have no issues. I use the following extensions along with the ones mentioned above. New Tab Override and DuckDuckGo and they have no interplay in with the issue I'm having. I've gone through an exhaustive process of disabling each one and trying various combinations of them and determined that the culprits are AdBlocker Ultimate, Plus or Free and uBlock Origin and Ghostery. Ghostery alone removes the video in the #1 position. But, if either of the other four are loaded with or without Ghostery then the video in #4 position is missing. Any help in resolving the issure would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!

When I open the google maps website it functions normally for about 3-4 seconds, then firefox completely freezes not just that tab. Firefox is up to date and it happens with all addons disabled. maps seems to work fine when I access from other country domains (co.uk or .de) Also I have no problem with the site on other browsers. It does not generate a crash report.

For the last week or two I have had an issue with Firefox closing my email (yahoo business mail) tab automatically, every time I download a file from an email.

After opening emial I click to download the file, i have the settings set to ask where I want it saved, and then either while I'm selecting the destination and labeling it, or right after the tab automatically closes. It happens both ways which suggests to me it's occurring after a specified amount of time, not based on completion of an action. And it's happening every time.

I updated to macos Monterey yesterday and I guess I guess I also my firefox updated to 102.0.1 (64-bit)... Anyway, I was very much used to have a white background in firefox's built-in pdf viewer when viewing pdfs that really have a white background (for example if you download it and check it with Adobe reader, or any reader other than the viewer built-in the browser).

Now the background color is gray, and it's not convenient for me at all. I could not find the magic setting that allow to changing this behaviour... I do not use themes, so I do not mind changing something there if needed.

Could any guru help here please ? That would be much appreciated.

Hi All, Today after years I have uninstalled the firefox and trying to login again due to computer slowness issues in Windows 11 FYI - I had lot of important bookmark,username,password etc synced that I doesn't remember now

This time when I try to login it asks me to enter email when I enter my gmail it's fresh firefox nothing is synced everything is lost I observed this time it's a firfox account previously I used login with google account login with google that option is not coming up anymore can somebody please suggest how can I login with google account in firefox instead of entering gmail email address and firefox directly

Firefox 102esr has almost every menu, popup and screen in dark mode - which I find extremely difficult to read, given I'm antique.

I've tried all the modes like light, system etc nothing seems to fix it.

Am I going to need a stack of css code to fix it - code for each and everything I want to set back to light, or is there a setting to achieve this?

Since the most current Firefox update in June 2022, when in Yahoo Mail and downloading an attachment, as the download complete, the Yahoo Mail tab is automatically closing, requiring I to go to 'History', then 'Recently Closed' tabs to re-open it. This happens Every.Single.Time I download photos and scanned docs from email. Again, this has never happened before - only with the recent Firefox update. I have 2021 a MacBook Pro.

Error code 242632 "The video cannot be played on this browser"

Hi, ever since cross-site cookie protection came in, all tumblr blogs I go to (as in when I type their url into the address bar, not when I visit them from my tumblr dash) sometimes break, treating me as if I'm logged out, except when I click to log in it takes me straight to the dashboard. Refreshing can sometimes fix it, making it that most dreaded of troubleshooting pains, an intermittent problem. Should be easier than most though, as this happens roughly about three times out of four, although sometimes I can have a bad run and refresh twenty times or more without being able to actually interact with anything as if I were logged in. And the occasional blog that the owner took advantage of advanced features to have a non-[user name].tumblr.com site, like for example this one simply refuse to see me as logged in at all. I PRESUME this is because the existing tumblr.com exceptions only cover some of the servers tumblr uses to authenticate logins, or something, but even when a blog is not letting me interact with stuff Firefox still says it detects 'no trackers known to Firefox'.

For several weeks now I've been experiencing issues with accessing google sites. YouTube videos will constantly display the "Connect to the internet. You're offline. Check your connection." error page. Additionally gmail and google drive will constantly give the "OOPs" error message. Sometime the page will load w constant refreshes but this is not ideal.

I've done the following:

Clear history/cookies Opening in troubleshoot mode Disable hardware acceleration Refresh/Reinstall

Still getting the same results. Not having any issues with edge/chrome. Does anyone have anything else that could be done?

When I try to log in to websites, three different usernames are prompted. One is my correct Gmail address, one is my correct mobile phone number, and the third is my correct Gmail address with 'joseph' appended in the case of Firefox, but 'busy' in the case of Chrome. How can I delete that corrupted prompt from Firefox ?

Currently @ Ver. 102.0.1 Problem remains. Since the update to 102.0 my Win10 PC has problems with the page update. When the scroll slider gets near the bottom the page, new images begin to load. This reload results in 3-15+ newly loaded Fb posts scrolling past so fast as to be invisible. I have to keep my cursor on the scroll slider and, when the loading begins, start scrolling up if I want to have any chance to easily find the last post I was reading. I have seen this behavior, grossly exaggerated, when I was viewing a video. The reload caused the viewing to pause and upwards of 15 newly loaded posts scrolled past in this rapid manner. My work requires that I am able to view pages of Facebook posts and this is now massively time-consuming and intolerable. I may have to change browsers in spite of my reluctance to do so.
