how do I download video download helper to my Firefox browser? I'm in a cul de sac in your website. There's no button to push to get the add on.

Since i've switched defaults to Firefox, every time I 'Open Link' on a discord image, Firefox downloads the image immediately instead of simply opening the image in the browser.

I would like to disable the automatic downloading of the image and instead simply open the image in the browser. How do I make this happen?

I have had this issue for previous versions of FF and in Windows 10.

I have set FF to save in d:\downloads but to always ask. It does ask and I then direct it to the specific folder that I want to the save the file to be downloaded in. I change the name of the file and FF saves the file to that folder. However, FF also saves a copy of the file, with its original name, in the D:\downloads folder. Is there a way to prevent FF from saving the duplicate file? Thank you

edit. Sorry, I just found others with the same issue. As I understand it, there is no way to prevent FF from saving duplicates.

Anyone know if the Firefox app will be in the Microsoft Store soon for download?

I bought a new computer and if I download the app from the website I will permanently be taken out of S mode (I’m sure you guys are aware of this issue).

Im hoping the app will be available through the Microsoft Store very soon because I only use the Firefox browser on all of my other devices.

Is there a way around it other than permanently switching out of S mode and downloading? I’m aware I can do that but prefer not to.

As of May 15, this change started.

Previously (May 14 and before), and downloaded file that has the same name as a previous downloaded file would be given a version name in parentheses. As of May 15th, any repeat-named download is given a hyphen instead. This is a serious problem, because I use the parenthetical version numbers for version control of many files.

How can I switch this back?

When browsing I don't want to download files until I have looked at them. I have files opened in Acrobat and Firefox is downloading automatically even though 'Ask whether to open or download' is checked. So I end up having to go through the downloads folder and delete things I don't want to save (which is most).

 Since some days I have the problem that all files I download from outlook are accompanied by a preceding UTF-8 in the file name. This is not the case for e.g. google chrome. Can I fix this problem by myself, or is it a general problem of firefox 128.9esr (64-bit)?

I have my Firefox browser set to ask me where I would like to save my downloads. However, it never asks me. It just automatically sends everything to my downloads folder then opens the file in a new window. I then have to go into my downloads folder and save it where I want to save it. So I must go through the saving process twice. Given that I download a lot of files for my business, this gets real old real quick. I don't have this problem with Chrome. I would like to stick with Firefox, but I'm going to have to make a change if I can't get this issue fixes.
