I am only able to shut off these new tones Firefox makes in Windows 11 Volume control center by muting Firefox. Then if I do, I am forced to return to that button to unmute if I want to listen to a YouTube video etc.

I've never had this issue with Firefox until 2026. I'd like to find a setting within the Firefox Settings, but there is nothing. No other browser does this. Only Firefix.

It's annoying. I'm going to have to start putting Firefox aside and stop using it. It's too much of a nuisance.

Firefox has no customer support. Only a Community Forum. So, I don't think they'll miss me.

I would like to remove the first item from the Tab Context Menu, which is "Add Tab to New Group", and simply have "Reload Tab" as the first menu item.

I was using this code, which worked in FF 145, until the latest update (FF 147)...

#context_moveTabToNewGroup,
#context_moveTabToGroup,
#context_ungroupTab + menuseparator {
   display: none !important;
}

However, now there is an extra separator line at the top of the menu (see attached images).

This code also removes the top menu item, but still leaves the separator line on top:

#tabContextMenu #context_moveTabToNewGroup {
  display: none !important;
}

Is there a way to remove the first menu item without adding the separator line?

Within the Applications section of my settings, I have it set to open content type of crcc with an application. However when I try now after the latest Firefox update, it opens a new blank tab instead of just launching the application. Anyone else notice this and is there a work around. Of note, after about 5 minutes it does eventually open the application.

how do you disable or unreaveal when the mouse hovers over the task bar (search bar) at the top while in full screen mode (f-11) to me this annoying when the mouse enters that section of the screen. chrome does not do this. Is there a way to toggle off a switch in a setting? if not, can one be added.

Firefox closes my window too fast-feels like after seconds of inactivity. Can I extend to 5 or 10 minutes? I live alone so o no one is going to run in here and get on my computer when I get up to let the dog out.

New Window slider (see screen shot ) in settings unchecks when Firefox is closed and opened. I have completed a fully uninstalled FF and completed a clean installation to check that was not the issue. It was not. It has been a few weeks now so not sure which upgrade fried it.
