When I type text into Google box, it disappears turns box green, but still searches, txt entry boxes on other sites just turn green but txt is still visable?
The problem seems to be tied to Firefox, IE seems ok. Went back to a known good previous restore point didn't help. Running Windows 7, FF6.0.2 Java is up to date. Before I did system restore, FF crashed frequently with these text input issues. After SR, box goes green, Google home page input disappears with 1st keystroke but still shows search results. As stated above boxes on other sites go green with first keystroke but text is visable.

thank you for explaining exactly how to find the keylogging area in Constant Guard. I disabled it and now everything is ok, except that we no longer have this protection. Typical.
I too was thinking of removing Constant Guard....may do that. Wish I knew if the Norton that I downloaded from the Constant Guard has anti-keylogging also....

Maybe this issue caused by Comcast Constant Guard (Keystroke protection)
CGPS Extension 1.0 was the problem. Software provided by Comcast/WhiteSky Inc. It started affecting IE too. Had a hard time getting it disabled. Every time I clicked to open the Add-ons manager the browsers would crash. Finally got it to open one time and disabled the extension. No more crashes. Thanks much cor-el. I called Comcast and told them of the issue. I would recommend Firefox disable it for stability reasons until the problem is resolved with Comcast/WhiteSky Inc. I don't even use CG, I used it to download Norton, then never opened it again.
Definitely from Comcast's Constant Guard. I disabled the anti-keylogging "feature" by opening the CG app from the system tray, selecting options, and then under "Configure Anti-Keylogging Settings" clicking disable. I think, like lostfox, now that I got Norton, I'll just shut CG down completely. It seems more painful than valuable. BTW thanks to this post. Before this I burned about an hour searching through the web for issues with my keyboard before discovering it was only in web apps. Then another hour looking at add-ons and extensions before I stumbled on this. awesome.
