How to disable redirects when clicking links?

jbr wotmołwjeny
Anish Shah

So whenever I click on new tabs, it always leads to a redirect notice asking me to confirm if I want to open those tabs.

I want it so that I don't get these notices, but the links I click on just open automatically. I have tried the following settings in about:config based on a few threads online:

accessibility.blockautorefresh

network.http.redirection-limit

A few other settings to that I have turned on and off but no difference.

A lot of the websites are also confusing because they seem to want to turn redirects ON rather than off, so potentially I am struggling to follow the correct information.

Any help appreciated.

The screenshot is a Google feature, specifically opening their encoded search result URL standalone, without their inline scripting present in the new tab.

Not sure a browser preference will have any impact on this. (At least not the ones you've listed.)

You might look into addons for "improving" search results that would suppress this security/safety feature of theirs.

How would I find a google add on? When I look up "google how to stop redirects" or similar, keeps giving me options for Chrome, which I never use anyway.

Wikihow and other websites just repeat what I did above with accessibility.blockautorefresh.

By searching the addon site. I don't have any experience and don't endorse any particular addon (as I would personally never allow any foreign code access to my web content), but this: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/remove-google-redirections/ sounds like the feature you might want to look into.
