Mystery who I am sending as
Looking at the screen, which identity does everybody think this message is going out as?
We observe those three possibilities. See the first image. Apparently the first possibility is the one that is chosen. I'm talking about just an email address with no name.
Okay, in the second image it turns out it was not the first possibility that was chosen it was the second possibility.
However at the bottom of the screen again we see it seems to be saying it was the first possibility.
No I'm not saying I ever expected it to be the first possibility. I'm just saying that this needs all to be 150% more clearer.
I'm not asking any questions I'm actually reporting of bug, yes.

Just look at that first image. At the top it's the first possibility, at the bottom the first possibility gets a line next to it in blue.
Yes I know the first possibility is not a real possibility but it sure looks like it to the new user.
And it's not actually a bug it's just lackadaisical design.
I'm a user like yourself. If I understand your point correctly, the app doesn't make it clear which identity has or was selected when composing or viewing sent mails.
As a suggestion, maybe the developers could enable users to associate a small icon or symbol with each identity. That symbol or icon could be displayed next to the email address in the from address field, as a visual indicator of the identity used. Perhaps you have an idea that makes the identify more prominent.
From my experience, the Thunderbird team have always been open to suggestions and ideas to improve the app. They do like any organisation need to balance priorities, goals and road-maps with resource availability.
The best way to promote your ideas is via Mozilla Connect. https://connect.mozilla.org/t5/ideas/idb-p/ideas/label-name/thunderbird%20android
This gives us a platform to put forward suggestions and have the community vote for them. The Thunderbird team take these into consideration when reviewing their priorities and road-maps.
Yes I suppose an icon would help.
Yes I know about that other forum but my experience is nobody reads what I wrote there, or at least I can't tell.
