firefox is all of a sudden blocking sites i regularily use

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Note that it is possible that the websites no longer support your Firefox 52 version (latest version available for XP) and in that case you might be out of luck.
