I can receive outlook e-mail but I cannot send from Thunderbird. I am asked for a password for the specific Microsoft server. I enter my Microsoft account password but this does not work. Security setting is STARTTLS withNormal Password authentification. My other Thunderbird non-MS e-mails are problem free.

Email will not send. Message-- "Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: Email rejected. Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again."

 I am not sending to another person but testing with my personal email. Thank you.

Thunderbird stopped working a week ago, and I've wasted HOURS trying to uninstall and reinstall the app in hopes of getting it to work. Best I can do is get it to run, accessing my gmail account, but I'm interrupted repeatedly by screens asking me to choose my gmail account, followed by a screen that asks me to click on a 'give access' button that appears nowhere on the screen. Such a shame that you folks and Google have collaborated in a way that makes a very nice app completely unusable. If you and Google can ever get the access issues resolved, pls advise via email and I make one last attempt to get the app to work: rws.pgh@gmail.com.

Other than being slow to download my emails now for a few months, TB was performing well until a week or so ago. Now it also won't open the downloaded email when I click on it and the TB freezes up so I can't close it out. I have tried restarting computer multiple times and it works for one or two emails that I can open and then starts freezing up again. Makes using it almost impossible. I have security Windows 11 Defender only and have had it the entire time when it also worked well.

Hello, My main computer died and I am trying to setup Mozilla on a spare laptop. I exported settings from my mobile device but am not seeing a way to import them into the desktop. It created a k9s file but it is not giving that option. What am I doing wrong??

My inbox is now put in alphabetic order thanks to one of the newest updates. I want it at the TOP. Can you fix this? In Thunderbird I now have to manually drag it to the top each morning.

When I open email in outlook my Inbox still appears at the top where it should be.

I hope this can be fixed sooner than later.

I have multiple email adresses for different purposes, but all of the incoming emails are sent to the Local Folders inbox, where I have separate folders to save emails for the each purpose. I am able to manually sort the folders in the order that I prefer, however each time I shut down Thunderbird and then restart it, the folders end up in seemingly different random order each time. Is there a way to ensure the manually sorted order of the folders does not change?

Trying to remove Thunderbird. Windows add or remove programs isn't working. I'm trying Program Install and Uninstall Troubleshooter, which needs Thunderbird's product code.

I downloaded Thunderbird into a new computer and there are a lot less emails than on the old computer. I cannot find a setting to download the rest of the emails. Can you please help. Please send me an email telling me if I can download the rest of them.

This happens erratically, not every time. Annoying when trying to select a message to delete and the one before or after or both also deletes at same time. Now I have to go and retrieve it back to inbox. Checked in settings and cant find a solution. Also looked in pad and mouse settings to no avail. I have two computers, both Lenovo. One is an older model running Ubuntu linux and the other is a newer one running Windows 11 and Ubuntu WSL. The plan is to move from the older to the newer. The older model has Thunderbird 140.10.1 esr (64Bit) and I have no problem with it. The newer one came with Windows 11 and Thunderbird 150.0.1 (64Bit) installed. I want to set up the newer computer with the same complement of email accounts as the older. This complement of accounts includes a gmail account, a yahoo account and an account that existed on comcast.net before being moved to yahoo. The latter still retains its comcast.net identity, but is served by yahoo. To support this account, it was necessary to provide Thunderbird 140 with the comcast.net email address, but configure it with yahoo entities underneath. However, this same process does not appear to be supported by Thunderbird 150. It seems to insist on using comcast.net entities, which do not exist anymore. My question is, am I correct in this conclusion, or is there a way, which I have not discovered, to configure the account to work on Thunderbird 150? If so, what might it be? One final note, I am not likely to be unique in the comcast.net issue. I suspect there may be thousands of us.

Bei manchen PDF Dateien 2,7 MB bekomme ich die Fehlermeldung Datei beschädigt. im Originalpostfach ( t- online ) Zugang über Internet ist der Anhang ok. Wenn ich die Datei vom Server direkt ( z.B. t-online nochmals an meine E- Mail Adresse sende und dann über mein Thunderbirth Mailprogramm öffne, ist die Datei ok. Der selbe Effekt tritt auch auf meinem Lapptop mit Linux Betriebssystem auf. Was kann die Ursache sein?

I'm trying to create a calendar event with irregular recurrence. Not only is the starting time different, but also the duration. Since AFAIK this is not possible using the interface, I directly edited the .ics to this:

RDATE;VALUE=PERIOD:20260506T063000Z/20260506T130000Z,20260507T054500Z/20260507T110000Z

I then manually synced the calendar. The starting time is honored, the duration, however, is not. I found the entry in the .ics changed by Thunderbird to this:

RDATE:20260506T063000Z RDATE:20260507T054500Z

How can I get Thunderbird to honor the different durations?

Thunderbird keeps opening a Google authentication window, asking which account to use. I have two gmail accounts (both of which work just fine), and another google account that I manage a calendar for (it works fine as well). How do I work out which account is seeking authentication?

With 03.04.2026 they began to notice that the attached emails in eml format (the attached emails have attached documents, mostly pdf) sent from yandex mail stopped opening. Everything used to open well. Eml also does not save to disk. If you send the same files via Gmail, everything opens. Program version 150.0.1
