Hello All,

New to this forum, wanted to ask - I recently downloaded Mozilla Firefox and I got a page wanting me to download "MyAllSearch", is this from Mozilla and is it safe? The website goes to myallsearch.com if it helps.

I have a brand new HP Spectre laptop. I have had Firefox running on it and it has been fine for about 6 months.

Now, all of a sudden, when I click on the desktop short cut, it does not open Firefox but, rather takes me to duck duck go which opens the following website

https://www.blogmuseupicassobcn.org/

I can not get rid of it, I can not by bypass it, and Firefox is no longer available to me on my laptop.

I think I know the answer to this question already, because all my searches come up empty, but is there a way to show the count of blocked elements on the shield icon? Obviously you can click on the shield itself and see, but I'd much prefer to display the info live similar to how uBO, AdGuard, Ghostery, Privacy Badger, Disconnect, et al do it.

If that ability isn't available yet, is there an official method to put in a feature request? I doubt I'd be the first one making the request, but perhaps I can add a vote for it to become a reality. ETP has to be about 10 years old at this point, it's surprising that option wasn't added a long time ago.

I keep getting the Virginia Pilot news stories for another area of Virginia - I have unsubscribed and turned off pop-ups and I'm still getting it every time I open Firefox.

I am using Tor nowadays because I get a trojan horse or other possible threats, every time using Firefox. I use ClamTk on my HP computer with Linux Mint 21.1 installed.

These are the 3 files that usually turn up after a full scan with ClamTk:

Mozilla Firefox PUA.Win.Trojan.Xored-1 Mozilla Firefox PUA.Html.Exploit.CVE_2012_ Mozilla Firefox PUA.win.Exploit.CVE_2012_none

I found out when my website turned out to be hacked, so I installed the ClamTk virus scanner.

I am trying to have a biometric authorization with touch ID on Mac, and it says on the website that the option should pop up when i go to the password settings, but it doesn't, and I don't know how to do it otherwise, or if I should use an extension for example. i keep typing my issue that i want help with and you keep bringing me back to this page but offer no resolution to my issue. i simply want to know how to RESOLVE the data breaches thta firefox found . when i click on the link RESOLVE DATA BREACHES and it asks me for the email concerned and then says i need to log in to my firefox account. it simply repeats that it found 4 data breaches in one of my emails. but does not give directions of HOW to remove./resolve these breaches. so i am still left with the four data breaches. CAN SOMEONE TELL ME HOW I SHOULD RESOLVE THE DATA BREACH ISSUE.

I've tried making Google an exception, to no avail.

I recently went to a website I normally visit but accidentally misspelled the url which took me to a deceptive website. Luckily, Firefox was able to detect the site as a security threat and did not allow connection.

About 5 mins after, my windows defender caught a Trojan:Script/Wacatac.B!ml in the \AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\0efjymat.default-release\cache2\entries\. I immediately quarantined and removed it.

I understand that it could be a false positive since I read that windows defender usually catches cache files that may look suspicious to it. I have to wonder though is it still possible for deceptive website cache files to get downloaded despite getting blocked by Firefox?

Note: I have ublock extension and my Firefox browser version is 131.0.2 64-bit

My primary email that I used for my FireFox account was discontinued years ago and I no longer have access to it. I need to add my new email address, but the settings will not allow me to until I input the confirmation code that is sent to my discontinued email address. How do I fix this?

but i accidently clicked the one with mozila.eu

so basically one with double L letter and one with single L letter.

may i ask if those are same website?

i have safe website/safe browsing on. but i still worried if something happens. checked through virustotal but no sign so far.

While I am in Firefox on my laptop with windows10 pro using it In dark mode how can I remove the yellow and white fill-in with something that I can read? Anything I looked up or tried does not change it back to where I can see the information without switching out of dark mode. Any help will be appreciated!

I recently purchased a Sandisk Ultra Flair flash drive because I wanted to password protect some files. The flash drive requires me to download the Private Access software from the Western Digital web site. When I try to do this the Mozilla browser states "Malicious Download Detected" and cancels the download. Does anyone have any suggestions? I went to the Privacy and Security part of Settings, and unchecked the Deceptive Content setting, but Firefox still would not let me download the software. Perhaps the change to the setting I tried did not register in Settings, but here I am asking for your help. Thanks.

I use private browsing mode exclusively. For years I've used Tools > Settings > Privacy & Security > Clear Data > Clear > Clear Now to clear the history, cache, cookies and so on during a session without having to close the browser, or so I thought. However, yesterday I ran into a situation (dealing with tech support for software) where it became painfully obvious that that process was NOT clearing out the history. So, a couple of questions:

1. Why, why, does it take 6 clicks to do that, instead of, say, just one click on a button on the toolbar?

2. Why didn't that clear out everything?

3. Where can I look to see whether all that stuff is cleared?
