So I am THIS close to uninstalling firefox forever. Every 10 seconds, when I have a google tab open, it brings me to my permissions on location, and asks me to give permission. I turned it off in firefox settings 'block new location requests' but it keeps happening. I have location turned off on my PC, and don't wish to turn it on. This is INCREDIBLY frustrating as I can't use google now because of it. How do I stop it.

Firefox crashes whenever it would need access to my camera or microphone. So far it has only happened whn trying to access a Roll20 game with camera and microphone connectivity, and when trying to access a video appointment for Universal Credit. It never happened on Windows 10, but since updating to Windows 11 it happens every time without fail, and the crash is immediate.

I have some custom firefox applets that acts as wrappers around the command-line functions to open firefox with specific profiles (see image 1 of applets in Applications in Finder). Each application is a simple .scpt file that runs the shell script (see image 2).

This allows me to have specific app icons for the different firefox profiles in my user dock (see image 3).

The issue is that once the applet is used and firefox has been opened, there are issues with permissions. In settings, it is clear that both microphone and speaker permissions have been shared with the applets AND firefox itself (see image 4).

However, any time I navigate to a page, I get a dialogue asking if the applet (Firefox_Professional, in this case) can access the microphone (see image 5). Depending on the page, I can get 1-20 dialogues in a row. This makes firefox practically unusable since I am closing an average of 5 dialogues before I can view any page.

Does anyone know any solutions to this?

I used to have the camera and microphone on video conversation using the instant messenger on Firefox browser, but now it says "camera and microphone not supported by browser". So I tried to fix it thru setting, privacy & security, accessibility - camera & microphone, but no joy. Can somebody plese show me how to fix it. thanks.

He intentado acceder a los ajustes, pero no sé cómo agregar la página de Google Translate (u otra) a los permisos, ya que no encuentro ninguna opción que me permita incluir manualmente una nueva URL para habilitar el micrófono. Tampoco aparece la opción para permitir el uso automático del micrófono.

Además, he notado que ahora hay una nueva ventanita a la izquierda del chat de ChatGPT (¡me gusta mucho esta función!), pero el micrófono tampoco funciona en esa sección.

Agradezco mucho si me pueden orientar para solucionar esto.

Is still get the prompt every time no matter how often I decline.

Firefox version is 142.0.1, and is reported as up to date. MacOS Sequoia. Page Info. Camera permission I am unable to manually uncheck the default Always ask which is required before being able to check the Allow toggle.

I need a workaroundfor this apparent beg.

I got a prompt requesting i allow a midi device plugin to install but..... I denied and selected the "never ask again" option. Turns out i do need this device installed. How can i get the prompt back after i denied and checked "never again".

When I make an online call through Firefox, I allow microphone permission, but there is no sound input. I also tested multiple voice websites, but none of them work. However, I can use the microphone using Edge in the same situation. I think there must be some problem with Firefox. How can I solve this problem? My system is Win11
