Dear Firefox

Why do you upgrade my Firefox 4 browser to this trash, glitchy version of 4.0.1?

I'll delete it, reinstall older version Firefox 4 or even 3.6 and will disable automatic update and installation. If not successful I'll switch to another browser altogether.

Here is why. First of all it is not working good with Avira (When I use Firefox Avira almost always runs AV Guard which is eating 50% of operating memory and slowing down the work of computer significantly).

Then I switched to AVG antivirus. The antivirus seemed good until I opened my Firefox - it began to crash on particular sites, displaying error and forced shutdowns. Crashes happened many times on front pages of facebook.com and yandex.ru.

OK, I lost a day figuring out what went wrong and changed antivirus from AVG to Avast. With that I didn't have problems working on Firefox 4, but today it was automatically upgraded to 4.0.1 and started to crash again.

I suspect this problem has something to do with glitches in Firefox browser, not virus or malware issues.

Can anyone clarify why our browsers were automatically upgrade to such glitchy version?

My brother has Opera and his browser never ever crashed or hanged. Why?

I'd like to add that I have also suspicion about incompatibility of Firefox 4.0.1 and flash ads on front page of yandex.ru. I contacted this site's support team but did not get response yet.

or probably crashes happen because of disruption in internet connection as Firefox tries to download everything on the page (not in parts) and if some features of the page are not loading the browser doesn't know what to do and it leads to shut downs.

I would also like to know how to reload the previous version. i don't like this one at all. the main problem is that my anti-virus program also stored my passwords & logins. when i went to visit a site, it would ask me for my master login, then prefill the sign in information. i have tried repeatedly to address a question to your tech support, and when i get an email with a verification link, it gives me an error after redirecting to firefox. up till now, i've had no issues with firefox, and have recommended it. i'm rethinking. customer service is lacking. please advise how to reload the previous version. That's all i want to do. i was happy with it.

Lesterle I returned to previous version of Firefox just downloading and keeping installation programs on my computer. You can find older versions by searching the web. Many sites still have them. Then install it and disable automatic update.
