i cannot access major websites
I am running Windows 7 Service pack 1 with AVG Anti-virus Free ver 18.3.3051. I just installed Firefox 59.0.2. whenever I try to get to any major website, including yours, I get Your connection is not secure

First, as I said in my original question, I am using AVG security, not Avast. I did find an option in AVG to enable HTTPS scanning, and turned it off. After rebooting my computer, the problem is still there. As a side issue, why is this a problem with Firefox and not with any other browser?
could you please give us more information about the error by clicking on the error code, copying the text to the clipboard and then pasting it here into a reply in the forum like shown in the screenshot (like shown in the screenshot)? firefox uses its own dedicated certificate store, that's why it may behave differently like other browsers when the third-party has injected its certificate there...

thanks this issue seems to be caused by the "digital reflection panel" software on your system that is intercepting & listening into all secure connections. please try to uninstall it.
That software is getting me $50 a quarter, so I think I will stick with my Chrome browser unless there is a workaround for Firefox.
@MikeCody, if your not willing to follow the help no one is going to give you help here.
When the help involves disabling a software product that works with all other browsers, that is an indictment of Firefox, and not too helpful at all.
