How do I create a new account with Thunderbird? (The support article hasn't been updated in 3 years.) Is it still possible to create a new account with Mozilla, or do I need to create an email account with a third party such as Mailfence and then log in? Should I just use Seamonkey instead? Please advise. I would like to integrate my browser and email. Thank you.

I have a new laptop and did a backup of my files on the older laptop (Windows Home) and restored them to the new laptop (Windows Pro). Then I installed Thunderbird on the new laptop and I already had e-mails on it. But there are thousands of e-mails in the wrong folders.

The Windows Home has Thunderbird 128.10.oesr (32 bit) and the Windows Pro laptop has Thunderbird 128.9.2esr (64 bit). What should I do? Should I uninstall Thunderbird on the new laptop? Then what?

I need to do something with a profile folder, right? But what?

Please help.

It's a mess right now.

All my emails in the inbox are not showing except for today's emails. At the top of the thunderbird email program is a search box. I searched for a couple emails I remembered the names of and showed me a few from last year. I am hoping they are all still on the server. How do I recover them and return them all back to the inbox?

Recently, the Thunderbird email product quit working propertly. It requires me to log into the account each time I wish to open an email. This has been happening for the last week to 10 days. I have to reenter my password each time. Example, I open an email after logging in for the whatever many times it has been during the day, and I need to answer the email but need to get some information first. I go get the information and the email program requies me to log in again, even if it has been just a few minutes. This has not happened in the past. I have been using Thunderbird for a very long time, many many years and never had this happen before. I loaded the program on my laptop that I use when I travel or am not at home. Same thing happens with it.

This is highly frustrating and time wasting to have to do that. There is nothing I have found that shows me how to address this. My phone has a different email program and that does not happen when using the phone. And like I said, I have been using this email program for a very long time and have not experienced this in the past.

Is there access to a user's manual or some quick guide to help me with this? I am not a tech newby, but I'm not an IT professional either, which was why I choose using Thunderbird many years ago. It seemed user friendly at that time.

Hello, can anyone help me prevent my Thunderbird client from switching to Variable Width font in the first line of any new draft? It has been incredibly irritating when composing mail. (Same issue has occurred when responding to emails.)

My HTML code signature only has two empty lines, coded as such prior to the “Thank you,” as seen in my sequential screenshots: <font size="4" face="Helvetica">
<font size="4" face="Helvetica">

… yet there is a third empty line that precedes both of them when I click “+ New Message” or reply to email. When I go to line 2 or 3, then return to 1, it switches to Variable Width, and the font is also much smaller.

The problem does not occur when arrowing between lines 2 and 3... only when returning to line 1. </font> </font>

After marking all messages are read all folders show no messages

After a major disk failure I had to import a profile from backup. So I now have my default (live) profile and the old (imported) profile. I moved the old messages into … (और पढ़ें)

After a major disk failure I had to import a profile from backup. So I now have my default (live) profile and the old (imported) profile. I moved the old messages into the default (live) profile. My live Inbox now has 8000 unread messages. After I mark these as Read no messages are displayed under any folder.

Using https://support.mozilla.org/bm/questions/1281467 to reset everything the I can see things again but as expected I still have 8000 unread messages.

Including other folders I have over 15K of Unread message after resert

Any ideas how to fix ?

I got a new PC with Windows 11. I installed Thunderbird 136.0.1 , activated the private calendar, and entered events there. For events with a reminder that have a specific duration (e.g., Wednesday from 10 AM to 11 AM), I receive notifications. However, when I create a full-day event and want to be reminded, for example, 1 day before, I don't receive any notification. Additionally, events with a reminder are not shown in bold in the calendar overview (whether they have a specific duration or are all-day events). Can you please help me?
