I have a problem accessing articles in the New York Times web page. I have a Basic subscription and I am signed in. When I try to read an article, the New York Times site thinks I do not have a subscription and that I have used up all my free articles. If I use the Chrome browser, it works fine, but I do not want to use Chrome. I use FireFox for all my browsing. I have deleted cache and cookies. Tried the "Private Windows" too. I have logged out and back in. I have rebooted the machine (an Alienware 17 R5) and closed and opened Firefox. The "agents" I chatted with say this is a browser problem as everything is working fine on their side and it works in Chrome. Can anyone help me out?

The past few weeks I have run into the issue where Soundcloud fails to load and returns an error. This is circumvented multiple ways. Either I open soundcloud in incognito mode and it works fine, or I clear the cache in normal mode. BUT in the second option soundcloud only works during the first visit.

I found a previous question asked here detailing the same exact issue but nobody found a solution that worked. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1346767

Other info I think would be useful: Soundcloud works on my laptop running the same exact profile for firefox. Hinting to me that something else on my computer is in the way.

Deleting all history, cookies, cache, extensions; has not helped

I have attached the images below just as the previous poster has. Including the console log filled with errors.

Hopefully someone can help with this headache!

I updated to the newest release and since then I cannot do two things: 1) playback any online audio 2) have my computer mic work during video calls I tested my computer setting and also used another browser (Chrome) and had no issues with audio, which is why the problem is with Firefox. Please help ASAP!!

From time to time i need to log into my ISP's website portal, yet from today which is since the update yesterday) it will not allow me to it has my log in details saved correctly, but when i try to log in the sit it says they are incorrect, which they are not.

At first I thought the issue was with my ISP's website, so I was on the phone to them and together we tried crhome and edge and the log ins worked just fine, but not with the Firefox browser.

So sadly either something you changed in that update seems to be messing with the log in on this site and possibly others or possibly one of the add ons I use with it together with the browser is now causing an issue and is interferring I wouldn't have the first clue.

Hello everyone, I was following a privacy guide and i changed the cookies settings in about:config . I set the value of network.cookie.cookieBehavior to 4, which according to this article means that total cookies protection is disabled. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/total-cookie-protection-and-website-breakage-faq

My questions are the following:

1- How do i enable total cookies protection after what i changed  ?


2-Which is better from a privacy point of view setting network.cookie.cookieBehavior to 4 or enabling total cookies protection?

I have looked up every variation of this question under the goddamn sun, and all I can ever find is "how can I KEEP audio playing after I lock my phone screen?"--which is not what I'm looking for.

Long story short, I've been using YouTube on the Firefox browser app because it has ad block and I refuse to pay for YouTube premium just to get rid of the insidious amount of ads the app has that I can't be rid of otherwise. It's not as good at the app, I'll admit, but there's no intrusive ads trying to sell me crap, so I'm willing to deal with the downsides.

The problem is that audio from YouTube in the Firefox app on Android continues to play if it was playing when I locked the screen, or if I was playing audio in my car and the app was never exited (so to speak) before I locked the screen, audio will either keep playing in the former case, or it will start playing as soon as the bluetooth connects to my car again once I get back in and turn it on.

How do I STOP this from happening? There's no settings within the app or my phone (that I can find) that will help with this. I don't know if it's a Firefox issue or an issue with my phone, but the audio thing doesn't happen with ANY other app I have. Only Firefox, and it's driving me crazy. I don't know how to keep it from doing so without the added step of making sure I close the app before I lock the screen, but I don't always remember to do so, and that's the problem. Please help me, because I'm almost about to give up on this app, too.

If it's relevant and it'll help, I have a Samsung Galaxy S22+.

I have the home page (aka new tab page) pinned because it is the only way to get the home page to appear after closing all tabs with atleast one pinned tab active. One annoying thing I found is that search results open in the same tab, which causes the pinned new tab page to get replaced by the search results. This is now how bookmarks and shortcuts behave. Can someone tell me how to get search results (from the "awesome" bar) to open in a new tab ONLY when conducted from the home page/new tab page?

Regular Firefox window doesn't work, open private window and I can log in. The web pages load, some features don't work, Like at Costco.com, when I click on account a drop down window is supposed to open, I get nothing. Works just fine in Private window. Camping world.com I enter my login and get CSRF error. Yesterday I could not login into a bank page. Other web sites work just fine.

I have a website which is designed pretty good, a few days back some users reported to us that they are Firefox users and our website is not displayed properly on this browser. We did not used a lot of java script and try to avoid overloading our website with non necessary elements but it is still not working on Firefox. Meanwhile our web designers have chosen light weight themes and optimised the site for browsers so the problem is not from our side. Recently updated to version 105.0.1 and I've started to have problems with Twitch. I'm unable to login and keep getting the message: "Something went wrong. Please try again." so I cleared the cookies/site data. Still unable to login. I know this isn't an error with my account as I can login via Chrome with no issues. Then I tried downgrading to the previous version 104.0.2 and had no issues with Twitch. Most likely, this new version is creating an error with the Twitch site. Hopefully new updates will address this issue - in the meantime, hoping someone has a solution.

Since around Sep. 15 2022 cannot log in Home Depot credit account (Citibank) online and receive a 404 page not found error. Since I have paperless billing I need to go online.

Today September 30 around 5:15 PM PDT I called Home Depot customer service number 800-677-0232 as imprinted on the back of the card. (Consumer financial services are provided & processed by Citibank.)

Long story short: I was told that they do not support Firefox since about three years that I have to use either Safari or Chrome or Edge. When I told them that it worked until September 15 the answer was ignorantly repeated.

The culprit is Citibank who manages the financial services i.e. credit card for Home Depot. Citibank blocks Firefox users from accessing their account information with out any kind of notice. Only information one gets is a false and misleading error message: 404, page not found.

So Citibank decided Firefox browser will not be any longer supported, apparently since 2019 yet I experience it for the first time two weeks ago. Not the basic courtesy of any kind or form of professionalism and announcement or notice. Just a blank white page and the browser tab "404: page not found" unless [Sh]Citibank changes that you will no longer can use Firefox to log into your Citibank account. You might have well noticed that all the search result links you find listed (" Home Depot credit card") result in 404 error pages when using Firefox.

It is this proverbial arrogant "we show you the middle finger" attitude I have had enough with. Be it either constant "enforced" updates or every other year yet another browser that's not supported or another gimmick.

No word about from Home Depot or Citibank about this, despite all the communication channels, no email, text message, automated phone call or USPS letter. But junk, unrequested advertising, that works all the time on all channels.
