I had the PC at Staples to get malware removed. They also removed the AVG Anti-Virus and installed McAfee Anti-Virus instead. When I got the PC home, many of my Firefox settings had been changed, I don't know by what or whom. And my Greasemonkey and Adblocker extensions had been removed. I reinstalled those, but now cannot get my two desired scripts for Greasemonkey to download, let alone install. I also now have a message, "your browser is being managed by your organization." But this is my own PC that I use for both work and personal purposes. I've tried all the recommended approaches for removing the "organization" message, to no avail. Tech support from McAfee recommended removing and reinstalling Firefox, but I don't know if that is likely to fix the problem, and I would lose all my bookmarks, some of which are important for my work. I don't know how to save the bookmark links before trying to uninstall/reinstall Firefox. Need help.

Hello guys, this would be a little awkward. Since I've run into this problem a limited number of times and I can't reproduce it. But it does appear frequently and is very annoying. I had to ask here for advice and help.

The device I use is a MacBook, running the official version of Firefox, and as far as I know this problem has been there for at least half a year. I'm used to keyboard operations, usually I use Cmd+T to create a new tab, then the cursor is focused on the address bar, and I type the URL. Since I'm typing an address that I visit often, maybe I just type the first few letters, the URL gets autocompleted, and then I just hit enter and the page opens in my new tab. But sometimes I hit enter twice (eg not English input method). At this time, I noticed that in addition to the URL I wanted to open, there's an additional tab. This tab was blank, or the page I just visit.

From my personal understanding, I may have performed the above operations to create a new tab or clone a tab at the same time. But I don't think my operations will cause these to happen concurrently.

Below are the extensions that I have installed, in my impression I don't get this bug in Windows, but I don't use Windows a lot. In addition, my MacBook keys may be sticky, or it may be a system problem.

When using GMX and trying to open the Cloud screens I keep getting a Warning screen and the page won't open and then I am logged out of my acct. I have attached a pic of the screen print as I cannot seem to add the screen print in the system. I need help to correct this issue.

Since last Friday I haven't been able to access any of my bank accounts with US Bank. I can access these accounts through my US Bank phone app and through Chrome when I use it on my laptop as browser. When I called US Bank IT they could not help because the phone app and Chrome worked. What's happening with Firefox? I have used it for years to get to these accounts, and now I am unable to.

Last night firefox v104.0.2 and windows 10 security update installed and now my firefox bookmarks are lost. I looked into my bookmarks profiles and they also seem to be cleared from my profile. Can they be recovered?

Firefox for Windows hangs when I copy text, either by Ctrl+X, Ctrl+C or by using a right-click menu. The browser just stops responding. It doesn't crash. Eventually, it will return and behave normally.

I tried removing all extensions and closing all open tabs. No change. I'm out of ideas. I suspect it may be trying to synchronize with something it can't find or there's network latency. Task Manager shows it's using a lot of resources. It doesn't do it every time, just often enough to be frustrating.

The attached image shows Chrome and Firefox accessing the exact same URL at the exact same time. Chrome is successful, Firefox is not (actually, fails over and over). So . . . wut? Clearly not a network problem, clearly not an accessibility problem, there is no firewall or proxy and Firefox is able to access other sites. Only this one is a problem. At least, so far. Security setting is Standard.

I need to exempt a site from the pop up blocker process. When I go to Privacy & Settings/Manage Exceptions, there is no text box or other way for me to enter the site. Am I doing something wrong or do I need to change some other setting to allow exceptions?

Trying to use ProctorU with Firefox 104.0.2 on Windows 11 Home, and I am getting the following message : "Monitor Count : You may only use 1 monitor during your exam. Your monitor count could not be found". I searched for possible fixes, and someone mentioned removing fingerprinters, and possibly also remove cookies and tracking content from Firefox enforcement. I removed all 3 and that did not help. I also tried clearing cookies and site data and also cached web content, this did not help. Is there some other setting in Firefox that might be preventing the detection of the monitor count? Any suggestions on how to fix this issue?

I keep getting alerts from Norton while browsing ran Norton's scan and MBAM then ran Norton's Power Eraser. I did not fine the source of the problem. I added an entry to my hosts file hoping it would block the IP but it doesn't seem to work, I may have done something wrong. When I click the download button I usually see my recent downloads and click open the file directly from the drop down. After 10-20 downloads are performed the drop down no longer shows my recent files until I restart firefox. I think the issue is once you hit a certain amount of downloads the preview drop down no longer works. Is this a know bug? Its happening on any pc, im on version 104.0.2 (64-bit)

Is there any settings or about:config settings or addons that disable upgrading HTTP to HTTPS for images? I have HTTPS site which redirects from HTTP to HTTPS from server side so I cant visit it on HTTP mode. This HTTPS only site uses external images from HTTP only site that does not speak HTTPS.

Firefox writes in browser console: > Content Security Policy: Upgrading insecure request ‘http://site.com/someimage.jpg’ to use ‘https’

How do I disable this behavior? Any about:config settings or browser addons to get rid of this?

On my Firefox (in Linux, at least), doing Ctrl+H toggles the History sidebar (opening it on the left side, or, hiding the sidebar completely).

How can I disable this?

Get "Access Denied" message with trying to login to my "SamsClub.com/Credit" account. I am able to login to the SamsClub account using Safari, but not when using Firefox. Need assistance to remove the Access Denied Block on the Firefox system.

hello !, I formatted my PC and installed FF after that tried to log in but i forgot my password. so i changed it by using forgot password option. but then all my data(Bookmark , password, history...) didn't show up. i tried downgrading but still nothing. Please is there any way that i could get my former data back?
