Last night I had an operating system update. Before the OS update, I closed all open apps, including Firefox. In the past, the session I closed the previous evening was restored. But this morning, all my pinned tabs and other open tabs are gone, and Restore Previous Session does not appear as an option on the dropdown menu. Recently Closed Tabs is pretty random, not really helpful. Recently Closed Windows only shows one tab that I opened this morning (probably a mistake on my part). Is there any way for me to retrieve the session from yesterday?

Three days ago a window popped up asking me to update Firefox. I did and afterwards my personal bookmarks listing disappeared. I tried rebooting everything. No luck. I went to your website and followed all of your suggestions, but again nothing worked; mainly because I could not find on my computer the info the last step in your suggestions were asking for. (I did get a message several times telling me I was using an old Firefox profile. I tried to investigate, but each time your instructions told me to look for something as the last or next-to-last step, I ended not being able to find it on my computer. Again, I have tried everything. Please help me.

I want to transfer my profile from an old laptop to a new one. i am not comfortable with uploading my passwords to the cloud as i do not understand how this is safe. i made tar.gz file with the entire profile, almost 1gb and put that on the new laptop. edited the profiles.ini and install.ini and expected the profile will load, but firefox simply does not work in that profile. it cannot browse and clicking the menu button in top right does nothing. Please, help. If I share data below that is the working profile, not the one that fails.

I deleted a profile not knowing it would delete everything I had. How can I undo it? I didn't want Firefox Profiles, it was forced. I deleted it, and everything just got deleted. Can someone please help revert this? Thanks.

When prompted Firefox does not load correctly, but once I get yahoo emails loaded I can access them. Can I uninstall & then reinstall firefox to try to get it to work. Will I loose all my emails? I’m still using windows 10.

I am helping a friend who has a problem when opening any browser software on an old laptop so I cannot operate the syncing option. The old laptop uses Windows 10.

I want to transfer (to new laptop running Windows 11) the history, bookmarks and passswords by copying from users/hername/AppData/ but do not know which files need to be copied

When I tried to log in to my account earlier today, I found that it was gone. I used my recovery key to create a new password and now lost all data, passwords etc. What do I do now? Why did this happen? I am not very computer literate but have tried all of the suggestions in your help forum and nothing works. Nothing has changed on my computer since my last login yesterday. Firefox is my home page and browser.

This morning Firefox stopped loading new tabs, which usually means it is due for an update and restart. On my work computer, updates are managed by my organization, so I cannot prompt it to check for updates directly, but rather can just restart the application and it updates once closed. Today when I closed the window then clicked the shortcut to reopen, it notified me the exe file had been removed and prompted me to open the Windows store and reinstall, which I did. I have no indication as to why it uninstalled. All of my bookmarks and other history appear to have been wiped.

I have been trying on the support site to see if this data is recoverable, but nothing has panned out so far.

I have used Firefox as my primary browser for almost twenty years and frequently encourage friends and family to use it if they don't already. I have never experienced anything like this before. I am hopeful somebody will be able to assist me where reading through support center options hasn't yet, but if this is not resolvable, I'm done- the crash helpfully wiped everything clean, after all.

When I restarted my computer, I was signed out of Firefox. I didn't remember my password and didn't realize creating a new one would deny me access to my bookmarks.

Can I recover my bookmarks? The restore function only lists today as an option after my new password was set (empty). I have no recovery key.

I've tuned in to Firefox this morning to find that I'm kind of shut out, no access to my usual apps, and required to enact some difficult backing up etc. When I explore, it seems to relate to Windows 10 losing its backup from Microsoft. But I'm running Windows 11, not 10. What's going on? Is this legitimate? If so, why is it complicated and why wasn't it forewarned (by Firefox)?

Firefox updated automatically overnight, all bookmarks vanished. Toolbar bookmarks, gone. History information disappeared two weeks ago. Library box is now gone, too! Windows 11. Firefox version 147.0.3 64-bit

Windows 11 Firefox crashed on opening continuously so unable to safe open etc. Did update intel graphics to no avail. Uninstalled in add programs in settings. Did not choose to delete data. Reinstalled and now can't find my profile.

The power went out in my area last night and When I turned my computer on this morning and opened Firefox, all my bookmarks are gone! It says the bookmark file is empty? I had many bookmarks that I use daily. How do I retrieve all my bookmarks I had in my Firefox account? Can someone help? Thank you.

Hello! I accidentally logged into my account after switching to a new computer, creating a new recovery key. Now i do not have access to all my saved passwords. I have my recovery key but cannot find where should I type it to get back all my information. Is it possible to recover my information using the original recovery key, not the one I accidentally created? I really need to get the access to all my saved passwords, please help me with it. Thank you!
