Don't understand WHY every site I visit, ends up as a Tab. I would like to have ONLY the ones I need! Also, where is the tab that I used to have to allow some sites to post?

I have asked this question once before, but was hoping I could get some help by asking again. The text on my screen will completely bug out, and I have no idea how to stop it. I will attach several images from this screen alone showcasing the issue. It occurs everywhere, including captions. Only Firefox has this issue on my computer. I have tried refreshing Firefox once, and it did not solve the problem.

Update 136.0.3 AND 136.0.4 - Updated, but each time the browser is closed (even after a system shut-down), it sticks with 'Being updated in another instance'. There is no other instance. Single user, Windows11-Pro, local user (not connected to one-drive or MS account). Just started this morning (27-Mar-25).

It eventually shows that it has updated, but still comes back the next time with message.

Successfully changed from 003 to 0.4, but the new 0.4 does the same thing.

Would really like to know what's going on, and fix it.

WHEN I open Firefox,Mozilla comes up with numerous tabs:Mozilla accounts twice. Settings comes up once. Get Support Moziila twice. 2 new tabs. does not display the scroll correctly on X.com. Why does Mozilla say inane things like put your passwords in a safe place,,,,,? Mozilla just today made mine disappear. Can the morons at Mozilla understand the problems this has caused? I am through with sitting before this machine trying to get thru this B S ! Want to help now? Give me my G D password manager back,,,, Safe,, what a D joke.

When I type 'mess', I want it to fully auto-complete to 'messages.google.com/web/conversations', not 'messages.google.com'. I want 'oura' => 'cloud.ouraring.com/dashboard', 'my' => 'myserver.localhost/whatever'.

In chrome I can delete the domain-only option from my history and it does what I want, prioritizing the most-selected URL. I've searched for dozens of minutes and ("dozens of us!") and haven't found a combination of about:settings and about:config changes that still does what I want. That is, I've found settings that worked in the past but they don't exist any more.

And why is only-the-domain the default? Who would want that?

Also, hitting down-arrow is not acceptable. I need a muscle-memory friendly solution.

Some Firefox option is adblocking some links in Publishers Clearing House emails. The same emails work OK in Safari. There are no adblockers (now or ever installed) on this Mac. It's not the end of the world for me but it should be fixed for possible future use.

I'm a single home user connecting via my phone hotspot. Att is my carrier. In settings/general it says my browser is being managed by my organization. Is att that organization or have I been hacked?

I'd like to use CTRL+S instead of CTRL+ALT+X to toggle the sidebar visibility as it's quick, easy, and memorable. I don't save webpages so that functionality wouldn't have a shortcut key anymore (and i'm fine with that). I know i'd have to edit an autoconfig file but i'm not sure how i'm supposed to go about that. That is to say, where are the autoconfig files saved? how do i edit them to achieve my goals?

I am new to Firefox and tried to import the Google Chrome Bookmark Toolbar bookmarks. This did not happen and need to get the items listed in the Chrome Bookmark Toolbar into my Firefox Browser.

As creator of retroonline.net. We recently noticed Firefox have limited value size in IDB which Chrome and Edge do not have. This limitation prevents big games running on Firefox despite Firefox has the best performance on WASM. Will there be a proper way to change this limitation or plan to remove it?

I had a website open I wasn't using, and then, without prompting, a different website suddenly opened, replacing the website I was on. Both websites are in my bookmarks bar and used frequently, I literally wasn't touching my computer when it happened. I downloaded the new firefox update maybe an hour before this.

Also, why is support crowdsourced? Like, it seems a little ridiculous that I can't directly contact the people who work on this browser to inform them there's a problem with their browser. Like, I'm reporting the issue, but genuinely, what help is the suggestions of other users going to be when this seems like a bug, not something I can mess around with the settings to fix, y'know? Just seems weird a tech company is relying on their customers to do their job for them like this.

I am trying to turn off notifications for Zynga in W11. Zynga is not listed in Notifications setting--only Firefox or Thunderbird. I do not want to stop all Firefox notification jut Zynga..any suggestions?
