I have been using Firefox as my preferred browser on Windows 10 Home and Pro systems for a considerable time and have recommended it to many Windows and Android users.

Windows 10 Home ver 10.0.19045 has recently been unable to access many well-known websites due to

Secure Connection Failed - An error occurred during a connection to <website's https url> PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR.

There are multiple reports of this problem from 2023 up into 2024 in Mozilla support and across the web, but no solutions. Curiously all of the problem reports mention Firefox not any other browser. Suggestions to try multiple fixes, but none have resolved the problem.

One posting on Mozilla Support marked RESOLVED says the problem mysteriously went away for that user. Lots of people still seem to be having this problem, so how about a fix.

Hi need to get my old firefox back before installation of new version.

I have a subscription that allows for downloading of videos using a "DOWNLOAD" button that has disappeared after new version of firefox was loaded. also my antivirus application has disappeared. How do i put everything back the way it was. I'm using windows 10.

My password saved are deleted every time I close FF. It used to be manageable because Google and other sites didn't require me to fill my passwords (cookies did the trick I suppose) but now I also loose access to gmail and Youtube every time I close FF. It's annoying to have to use 2FA every damn time. And keeping the passwords available.

I've tried every answer I found by looking around :

- tried to start in safe mode - disable hardware acceleration - I have no extensions

FF saves the passwords correctly (at least they appear in the saved password tab) but they are erased every time I restart FF. The cookies aren't automatically deleted (FF remembers my browsing history) but I need to relog into Google.

I getting frustrated.

I use firefox (as mozilla) for decades ago. Never had issues, is super easy, fast and ...secure (?) A hacker last week have access on my Firefox, download ALL my saved passwords as CSV... as a plain TEXT and ATTACKS on my entire life!!! And the nightmare goes on and on... Stole my primary Google Account, Facebook, Instagram, Ubisoft, PayPal, Microsoft Account.... and other 20 sites beside this. For GOD sake, didn't you EVER think to place an extra security layer on this EXTREMELY SENSITIVE details??? A master password? 2FA or something else? Are you serious??? I'm so sorry BUT YOU'RE LOST MY TRUST!!!! Period!!! Give a change to your selves and PROTECT YOUR CUSTOMERS!

I can no longer connect to X ray images using your browser. The links are in EPIC. The X ray system is eUnity. If I can no longer connect I will have to switch browsers.

I am trying to email a link from chatgpt to my yahoo email account. When I try to open the link I receive the error 500 internal server message. I have emailed links from chatgpt many times before with no problem. Can you advise.

I am trying to sync my addons to another computer. Apparently the addons I have on the primary computer are not synced to the server. The sync-log says "[addon] not syncable: is foreign install." The About Sync addon shows that data for two addons are on the server, one of them About Sync, while I have a lot more on my primary computer. I may have synced the addons from the secondary computer first, so that might explain why the server knows only about two addons.

So I am trying to wipe the addon data from the server and sync the addons from my primary computer. I have signed out all but the primary computer from the Mozilla account. I have tried signing in and out of the Mozilla account and changing the password to wipe the server data, but that does not seem to work.

Wiping the addon data via About Sync > addons > Engine Actions > Wipe addons does not seem to work, either. After syncing About Sync shows that there are two addons on the server again.

What else can I try to wipe the addon data on the server or to sync my addons from the primary to the secondary computer?

Recently my browser will open a Settings tab whenever I click on an autofill dropdown selection. Any autofill selection from username/passwords to simple Name/phonenumber/etc autofills. It's very annoying and I can figure out why it's doing it. How do I make it stop? I'm running Firefox 126.0.1 (64-bit) on a Windows PC.

Why do I need a new profile every single little update? How can I get my saved session, bookmarks, history, open tabs, extensions and preferences from my old profile? Manually copying files from the old profile is not a solution - it's a workaround and not a great one. Lots of things get left behind. Alternatively: what file in my "old" profile do I need to manipulate to trick Firefox into using it with the new version?

Hello, I've chatted with the creators of the add on "Twitter X Ad Blocker" and asked why it isn't working any more. They told me they have an update made and ready but you have not approved it yet. What will it take to get you to approve the update so this will work again?

My system repeated asks if I want Firefox to be my default browser. Equally as many times I have indicated yes but why doesn't it stick? Running Win10 latest update. Please help me get rid of this annoyance.

I usually download and install manually the custom install of Firefox on Windows.

Recently, a new version was automatically installed without my permission and destroyed all my customization. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I had to restore the older version from backup and I was going to stop updating.

But I see that the manual custom installation is still available for download.

I want to make sure that if I use it it will not wipe out my customization again.

Please confirm.

Hello, I have a very weak internet connection and I've been experimenting with ways to lessen the burden of the slow connection by increasing the time that the cache from websites can stay on my computer (I've already increased browser.cache.disk.capacity and set browser.cache.check_doc_frequency to 2, but the files still end up expiring eventually forcing them to be re-downloaded even though I know these cache files never change).

So far I've had some success with this extension (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/cache-longer/) it definitely works but very inconsistently so I've tried to directly edit the cache files found in Profiles\someprofile.default-release\cache2\entries but every time I edit the max-age on the cache-control line or any other line firefox just erases the cache file completely then re-downloads it.

TL;DR - Is there someway of getting firefox to ignore the cache file expiry dates and cache-control age or at least editing these files to extend their life?

i'm missing some of the default search engines in the bar ebay and amazon. i hit the button "restore default search engines" in setting to try and fix it no luck. only give me back wikipedia, bing, duckduckgo but not amazon and ebay two sites i visit a lot.

this been happening to me for the past year and every time i had to go in the c drive and delete the mozilla folders and reinstall firefox to get them back. then use it after a month or two later they disappeared for no reason. this only happens on my desktop and not my laptop how do i make this stop happening?

Every day on the second or third tab the website will not load. If I open firefox again the site will load immediately. These can be bookmarked sites previously used one million times or linked sites embedded in a current tab. Your support pages have not helped. I'm about to ditch Firefox MS Edge!

I am on a mailing list from the Smithsonian Magazine. I receive a daily email containing links to interesting stories. The links work and take me to the correct page, however, I am unable to scroll the page up to read the article. They used to scroll, but not now when I go there by clicking a link in the email. The email also contains a link named View in Browser, and the email appears in Firefox and I can scroll the email, but if I click on a link in that email displayed in the browser, the page still will not scroll up. Problem not present in Chrome or Edge. I previously reported this to Mozilla in Feedback and to the Smithsonian about 2 weeks ago, but still no change in his strange behavior. Hello everyone! I am having a pretty strange issue with my [website ], it shows an SSL certificate on all the other browsers, but, on Mozilla Firefox, it shows not secure issue, which is quite pressing. Can anybody tell me what's wrong here?
