window not visible due to size?
This morning I had 2 Firefox windows, out of 12 or more, that did not appear to "restore" when I clicked the taskbar at the bottom of Windows 7.
I wasted a bunch of time, but it turns out that these 2 windows had been somehow resized or moved so that only by using F11 (full screen) could I "find" them. Where were they?
Also, I couldn't find any way to re-size these windows. It was either minimize or full-screen. Choosing the "Restore" button made them essentially disappear.
Note, that this happened after I was surfing some Chinese web sites and McAfee warned about blocking a "risky" connection.

I would guess that you had set up two monitors at one or missed the thin sliver of the edge of the window. Since you are on Windows 7 you use WinKey+left-arrow and easily resize from there. It works nicely across two monitors as well you may have to press the keyboard shortcut up to six times to get the window where you want it as it does the same thing across both monitors. Left side/Normal/Right side. The WinKey + right-click goes in the other direction.

I went through your problem for about three weeks appear right after an update of the application, tried older version of application, reinstalled and the solution was as simple as using the new Win7 shortcut. You could get the window into position with Alt+SpaceBar then "M" for move with older versions of Windows.

I have only one monitor, so I have no idea where the windows were located. I'm sure that your winkey solution would have worked had I known about it.
The trick was actually coming to the realization that the windows actually existed (were not broken somehow) but were just not visible.
Perhaps Firefox should limit the size/location of windows. Is there a legitimate reason for the size/location of a window to be beyond human constraints?
That's an operating system thing, and very useful. I would think all systems would would do it because it's just a matter of moving a coordinate locator. I always have several windows open shove windows around and off to the side, they don't get smaller and stop moving at the screen edges or return shrunken upon return. Though they will not completely leave the screen unless there is another monitor in that direction. Move the cursor outward as far as it will go and you will see part of it still on the screen. Try to move the whole window of the screen, same thing but limited to where you grab it on the title bar, unless you use "Alt+SpaceBar:".
