Help! Firefox crashes [@ nsXULTreeAccessible::GetChildCount()]
I started getting crashes several times a day, especially while entering data in forms, web-site addresses etc.

I hate to say this but the best course of action could be to use IE for a while. It appears that a cause of this, has been identified and fixed in Firefox 8, so you may need to wait a while before things improve.

If the crash is a problem you could consider trying the Nightly channel, where Firefox 8 is currently available. (It will be moving to Aurora in a couple of weeks - Aurora is usually pretty stable and usable).
It is considered an advanced topic and not for general users, but you could try running two versions of Firefox so that you could use Firefox 8 nightly on sites where earlier versions of Firefox are likely to crash. If you consider trying that see
At least it will be fixed someday, that is good news. I use Chrome for Youtube, that prevents some crashes :)
