Firefox changes PDF file name when downloading from a website

When I DL a PDF file from a certain website, FF changes the name. When I DL file name <Event Calendar 2011.pdf>, it goes into my downloaded files folder as <Event> with no extension = unusable. Does NOT occur with IE.
