https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/removedupes/ ... which is not yet compatible with version 138. But should be soon, I hope.

Since TB is slowly getting more contemporary, this function should also be built-in and not to wait any developer to prepare a corresponding addon. Let's hope TB developers read these posts.
