Changing the URLB on click behavior
I would like the address bar to show what it would show when you type a "?" just by clicking. It's a default feature in chrome, I know, mentioning a competitive browser as an example is kind of a no no, but it's the only example I can think of.

You can disable address bar suggestions for history, bookmarks, shortcuts etc. so you only get search suggestions.
I understand that. But that's not what I'm asking. When I click on the address bar, I don't want things that I have in my bookmarks to show up so I disabled them. I only want things that would pop up when you type a "?" to pop up when I click on the address bar instead of actively typing a "?". Nothing pops up at when I click the address bar. Yes I have certain things disabled like bookmarks, and shortcuts (why would I want things that I already have pinned below the address bar to show up in the address bar when I click it)
It sounds like you want an easier way to show search history.
You can can show search history in the new tab page search box by pressing the down arrow key if you change browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar to false in about:config.
I do want an easier way to show search history, but with just clicking the address bar. I don't want to have to press the down arrow, or type a question mark. It's a regular QoL feature in chrome. When you click the empty address bar in a new tab, it shows you your search history, no keyboard input required. Thanks for the help though
Note that you can consider to use the stand-alone search bar.
Mozilla has a product suggestion site at https://connect.mozilla.org/. I think if you have time, it would be a good idea to post this request there to get into the current feedback stream. Use the "Ideas" section of the site.
For example, users might want to choose among various options for what appears when clicking in a blank address bar (for example, on a new tab):
- Shortcuts from Firefox Home (current default since Firefox 75)
- Frequent sites from history (default before Firefox 75)
- Recent search history (parity with Chrome; even if dynamic search suggestions are disabled)
- Nothing
