I needed a copy of Firefox to use inside of a Wine setup inside my Linux system. However, your site has *****NO WAY**** to specify WHICH operating system I'm trying to download for. It's bad enough when the dimwits over at Google think they know better then the user what we're trying to do (a tip here, they don't). Really don't need Mozilla picking up yet ANOTHER bad habit from Google.

You want to default to what the current OS is? That's fine. But you ***MUST*** provide an alternative link to different systems. Otherwise I can just download Opera or Vivaldi instead.

If you are only going to www.mozilla.org then the Download will serve you Firefox based on your useragent details for OS and whether 32-bit or 64-bit.

Scrolling down page for Download Firefox will give you https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/new/ where there is a couple link options for Firefox for other OS's.

Also if you searched for Firefox Windows in a search engine you should links for https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/new/ and https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ which again both gives you options to download Firefox for Windows, Mac and Linux.

All well and good, but if you go to the Mozilla.Org page, and click on the "Download" link on the TOP of the page, it brings you to a page that will immediately download the version for your present OS. This would be the obvious and safe procedure; visit the main site for the project, click on the download link there. Just HOW MANY times would groups like Mozilla insist people should only download from a trusted site, preferably the project site itself. They point out there are some scam sites, some of which have higher Google rankings. So now you say to trust those very same unreliable Google searches.

So which way do you want to play it? It just seems too much like the sort of braindead stuff Google does, and as it is Mozilla has already picked up too many undesirable habits from Google.
