I don't manage to import the *.csv file from outlook into the contacts of thunderbird, most of the data are corrupted or no list exists at all.

open the files created by excel in notepad, select save as select the Unicode option. Unfortunately excel is still in the 1990s then it comes to text, is is not capable of correctly handling, importing or exporting Unicode files.
