downloads window stays on "unknown time remaining"
Hi, i have been trying for awhile to download a program that i trust, but the downloads window stays on "unknown time remaining". Is there a way i can get it to show me more info on how much more data or time it needs to go before it's finished?
I don't want to hold my breath indefinitely, if i should maybe close out and restart the whole process?
My internet connection is currently excellent, so it can't be that.
I also cleared my download history, and also changed my downloads to a different folder.
If possible, iwish to avoid having to reset the entire FF browser.
Help anyone?

It is possible that security software (anti-virus, firewall) is causing the problem. Try to disable security software temporarily to see if that makes a difference.

thank you cor-el, i disabled my Avast Antivirus and that fixed it!
What was a bummer after that was that i found i had to disable my Avast every single time before opening my downloaded program. I went through all the Avast active protection settings and added my program to its exclusions, but the problem remained.
Finally, i discovered another branch of exclusions hidden under the general exclusions: deep screen and hardened mode, and after adding the paths to those as well, it all works great!
