Why do I have to click twice to start Flash videos

I am using Firefox 44.0.2 on Ubuntu 14.04.1 Linux. Whenever I want to view a Flash video, I have to click twice to get it to run, particularly on Facebook and YouTube. I have updated the Flash plugin to version 11.2 r202.
