Will not act as default browser. Links in emails do not come up as they used to. Don't subject me to your faqs and infinite website.

Does not always open as default browser, although this has been checked and matches instructions. Links in emails used to open when clicked. Now they don't. Nothing in your labyrinthian website seems to address this problem. Your website, help screens, faqs, etc. waste too much user-time. FIX THIS. Make contact easier, and send your answers more quickly, PLEASE!!!! Why would you use volunteers (many thanks to them!), and not hire competent help to do this job?????

Hi

Thank you for your question.

As with many open source software projects, the majority of people involved in producing and supporting Mozilla software are contributors (just like me). We do our very best to help and I would be interested to have details of the web pages that are unclear.

In respect of the issue that you have flagged, you need to do two things;

  1. In Firefox, type about:preferences in the address bar.
  2. In the General tab, click on the Make Default button.
  3. In Windows, go to Settings (from the Start button).
  4. Select System, and scroll down to Default Apps.
  5. Under Web browser, left click and select Firefox.

I also notice that you are using an out of date copy of Firefox. I strongly recommend you update so that you have the latest security and stability fixes as well as new features. You can see an easy to follow walk through of how to update here.

I hope this helps, but if not, please come back here and we can look into a different solution for you.
