I posted a decent but very personal ad on Craigslist several months ago. One of the responses was from a woman who seemed over-the-top friendly. In retrospect, I should have been wary as she sent all sorts of "emoticoms" and dancing cartoon figures and was quite hyper in her enthusiasm for us to be friends (I still have her crazy messages saved) but I was going through a very hard time and thought that it might be fun and harmless chatting with her. She asked repeatedly for my personal email address and telephone number and when I sent them she responded no further. Last night I was horrified to discover, upon googling my name on Mozilla Firefox, that she had posted my ad and some of our correspondence, falsely accusing me of being a "SCAMMER" and providing "Highest!" spam score of "10.7." The site was blogspot.com and although there were many ramblings and collages there, googling my name showed this link making direct reference to me ("My city>personals>strictly platonic>Craigslist..." etc.). Certain people googling my name and finding this link could cause me great embarrassment and problems. Is there any way that I can have this posting removed - preferably without confronting the woman directly and risking raising her further ire? Once again, I said absolutely nothing in any way rude, threatening or improper either in my posting or limited correspondence with her. Your suggestions and advice will be greatly appreciated!
