About once a minute FIrefox freezes for about four to five seconds and then responds. It does this continually.

Lately Firefox freezes about once every minute for four or five seconds. It does this continually.

I have refreshed more than once and redownloaded Firefox to no avail.

Without knowing a little more about what is happening on your system its hard to say. However try this... 1. Open the Event Viewer logs check the summary for the Administrative Events look to see if there are critical, error, or warnings being logged at the time this occurs. (This is a good starting point)

2. Check your add-ons & plugins for the browser itself make sure you do not have multiple versions of the same plugin or add-on.
