Firefox 37 and above will not load gmail. Says connection is untrusted however it works on 36 when i downgrade

Hello, when I navigate to gmail in Firefox it says that the connection is untrusted. I tried deleting the temp/cache files, uninstalling reinstalling firefox, i tried deleting the mozilla profile. I also tried copying certificates over from IE. Eventually I ended up trying a clean install of windows 7 formatted and reloaded. I install firefox and still receive the message. I am not using antivirus software. The only way to get it to work is to downgrade to 36.0.b10?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
