The Refresh feature (called "Reset" in older Firefox versions) can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your bookmarks, history, passwords, cookies, and other essential information.

Note: When you use this feature, you will lose any extensions, toolbar customizations, and some preferences. See the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article for more information.

To Refresh Firefox:

1. Open the Troubleshooting Information page using one of these methods:
   • Click the menu button , click help and select Troubleshooting Information. A new tab containing your troubleshooting information should open.
   • If you're unable to access the Help menu, type about:support in your address bar to bring up the Troubleshooting Information page.
2. At the top right corner of the page, you should see a button that says "Refresh Firefox" ("Reset Firefox" in older Firefox versions). Click on it.
3. Firefox will close. After the refresh process is completed, Firefox will show a window with the information that is imported.
4. Click Finish and Firefox will reopen.

Unfortuately, that has not worked, tried it twice.

When I open the advanced settings in menu, under general, it even shows auto spell check as I type as being selected....so I'm confused...even tried unselecting, reselecting, and then even restarting computer

Do you mean an input field on the Gmail web page?

The website might be using autocomplete="off" to prevent Firefox from filling form data automatically.

Firefox won't auto-fill saved form data automatically when autocomplete="off" is used and you need to start typing the name to get a drop-down list. You can check that in the Inspector via the right-click context menu (Inspect Element)

• Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot
• Make sure that you do not exceed the maximum size of 1 MB

Just a remark: there are two links in the email that you get when someone replies to go to your question. You appear to be clicking the link that sets the reply as the solution.

Could you only click the link to mark the thread as solved if you have really solved the problem to avoid confusion and otherwise click the other button?
