Links I get for a photo-sharing website open correctly in IE but not in Firefox 35.0, which goes to the right site but the wrong page. Previous Fox was fine.

In the past, clicking on the link in Thunderbird opened the page at shutterfly.com correctly in FF (default browser). Now it goes straight to one of the options for the photos that the link referred to.

Copy & paste the link directly into FF gives the same dud result - whereas IE opens it perfectly.

I have also tried disabling Adblockplus and my various plug-ins.

Sorry about the delay - the format is html Thanks for the link. I've had a good root round, checked out the various suggestions but everything appears to be in order.

Exactly the same thing happens on our laptop in FF35. And its not an OS problem btw - the laptop is on WinXP and the desktop on Win7. I've also gone back to an old email from the same source, where the link worked fine before - but not now in FF35. So there's either a glitch somewhere in FF35, or the way its been installed on our two PCs. Either way, so long as its just a unique issue for chez Crimble I'm not too concerned. We probably only get one of these links a month and can just paste them into IE in future!

Crimble,

Could you please copy and paste the link from the email for us? A link to the page you see after clicking the link would be helpful too.

Cheers!

Also check if this about config entry mentioned in this solution has been changed: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/que.../1038557

guigs2 - I've tried that but no joy. In fact, the about:config was set to user defined, so I reset it to default as advised and tried the link again. No change.

jayelbe - Somehow I don't think the sender of the link would like having his Shutterfly page floating around the place, even if its in a good cause. Sorry! You could, of course, set up a Shutterfly account (its free), upload a pic and share it with whoever - the invite to share is sent direct from the site.

This may be similar to issues reported with Photobucket where the website redirects to an HTML page that sows the image instead of the real image because Firefox sends a default access header (network.http.accept.default) and not the image header (image.http.accept) when requesting the image.
